Just to set the record straight........The reason American football players wear all of that padding and protective gear is because American football is the most violent and dangerous game in the world. The collisions are so violent that there is no way you could even begin to understand. If rugby players or Australian rules players hit each other as violently without the protective equipment they would all be DEAD. There is no way to explain the violence of American football unless you have actually played it. The only thing more violent that American football is what the gladiators used to do to each other in the Roman Coliseum. Stand on the sidelines at an NFL game sometime and you will be totally blown away by the collisions.

 

Okay, take the protective gear off of them and the level of violence goes down.

 

Looks like Chelsea have lined up the Mourinho mini me for their next manager.

Rather wish we had Football (soccer) of the English Premier league - or other major european country - standard here in Aus. All we have is a fairly ordinary comp, and any players that are any good leave to play in europe! Never really enjoyed the Aussie rules football played in Victoria or the thugby played in the other states.
