Just because a few countries call it that, doesn't mean they are wrong. South Africa a former Brit colony calls it soccer as well. Some of you think that American football is weak compared to rugby take a closer look. You do realize rugby players are no more than 5 yards apart from the defenders, which is no where near enough time to gain any significant momentum, whereas American, and Canadian football players have a distance of at least 10 yards between them, other than the players on the line of scrimmage that separates the offense from the defense. If those players were not wearing padding and helmets someone would die, getting to hit in the American and Canadian game is equivalent to getting into a head on car wreck without wearing a seat belt. In rugby the ball is always traveling backwards whereas in NFL and CFL the ball is always moving forward, NFL and CFL skill players would destroy any RU or RL defense, I'm not talking about the big boys in the trenches that weigh over 300lbs(not sure what that is in stones or kilos) I'm talking about the WR's and the FB's and the RB's, the players that will make someone lose their jock strap on the field or run their ass over. And just for your information, anytime the NFL has played a game at Wembley the game has virtually been sold out and it is mostly by Brits not American transplants or by people using the game as an excuse to go to London from the USA, so it does have popularity otherwise they wouldn't show it in pubs or broadcast the Super Bowl.

Aussie rules and Rugby similar!!!, far from it.

If anything rugby is more similar to your genre of game, well other than the fact that the rugby players run for two 40 minutes halves without having to chance to sit down every five minutes, oh yeah, and there's one team that does defence and offence, there's none of this 50 plus players on each team.

Rugby Union has 15 players and 7 subs, and Rugby League has 13 players and 4 subs per team playing on a pitch similar size to yours.............and Aussie Rules has 18 and 4 subs playing on a much bigger pitch.

It'd take 4-5 of your fields to fit into 1 Australian Rules field.......sure American footballers are tough blokes but they'd collapse in a heap after playing one of four quarters of continuing free flowing Aussie footy.
Most of the players in aussie footy can cover up to 14 kilometres (almost 9 miles) of walking, jogging and running flat out each game....as I said, your players are tough, but they'd have to catch our blokes first to beat them up.

Well it seems at least one of them is. If the grounds for rape was that she was too intoxicated to not know what was happening. Why is it that the man that found her, first had sex with her, then invited his mates to have sex with her was found Not guilty. But the second man who raped/ had sex with her was found guilty?

Under these circumstances either both counts are rape, or neither.

 

Yes indeed, there does seem to be an inconsistency there. There is not much information about at the moment maybe more details will come out.
