I just started a seperate thread for World Futbol, (Soccer), the game playee under FIFA rules. Here is a thread for those of you who follow American, Canadian or Australian Football. Root here for your favorite team. razz the team you are about to play or have just beaten, argue about the differences between NFL and CFL rules, or whatever you like. As for you folks from Oz, I included you here rather than with the soccer folk. It you want your own thread go ahead and start it. All I know is you must like broken bones better than I do.

I'll start it off!

The Steelers got the one for the thumb. Then they started on the other hand; the only team to win 6 super bowls. This year they are going to take their 7th!

 

My code is Aussie Rules, the world's oldest football competition, it has been played for the last 150 years.
Our football season down here is near the end of the season, it's now into the championship games with the Premiership game to be played 26th september.

There was 1 game played tonight with Adelaide 26 goals - 10 behinds - total 166 points slaughtering Essendon 10 - 10 - 70 , which puts Essendon out of the Premiership race.

Both of these teams don't bother me, I dislike both of them.

My team is Collingwood we're hunting for our 15th Premiership

 

They will lose Thursday night.

Our terrestrial TV stopped broadcasting games, so now I can't watch it. :wall:

Oh well, my Vikings never win jack diddly anyway.

 

It's a rare team that takes all their games, and Tennessee is a tough opponent, but I am still picking the Steelers.

Steelers still look tough, but I wish we could have kept another running back.

 

Thursday Night the Steelers and the Titans kick off their respective drives for the playoffs and the Super Bow! One of them is probably going all the way!

Yessir, no stomp on the towel last night. I was on an airplane flying to Providence RI, missed the game. Found an AM radio station carrying the game just before the OT field goal. Sorry I missed the defensive battle.

Congrats to the Steelers, hope we meet again in January.

 

Not a bad way to kick off the season. Let's hope the Eagles can stun Carolina on Sunday cus it doesn't look to be an easy match up and I'd have to say that the Panthers seem to have the upper hand going into it.

Next Sunday afternoon the Chicago Bears will howl and growl and sniff the air. They will act ferocious until the Steelers make them whimper, crawl in a cave and look for their hunny pot. The wimpy Bears will be the next to fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers!
