That is exactly what they called, when a defensive player simulates the start of a play, enticing the offensive player to react, it is a defensive delay of game violation.

You cab stunt, change defensive alignments, drop back from the line of scrimmage, but you cannot simulate the start of an offensive play. Shouting snap counts and simultaneously moving to the line of scrimmage is not allowed.

Aha ... about the only thing I hadn't thought of. Pretending to be the offence and acting like you're setting the play off. It makes sense for that to be a foul.

Cowboys at Eagles tomorrow night! Hopefully the Birds have gotten over what they did to the Giants last week because they could really use another win, and they can't be stuck in last week and win against an NFC East opponent.

 

If I had a dollar for every time during September and October that an Eagles fan swore that they wouldn't make the playoffs, I would never have to work again.

Say what you will about the Birds, but under Andy Reid they win in November and December.

I goofed! Denver Broncos aren't unbeaten. They are 6-1. I must have read somewhere that they were unbeatn at home, and ignored the last two words. Being that they play a mile above sea level it is tough for flatlanders like us to brethe at their altitude. One Steeler nearly died after the last meeting there due to sickle cell illness, and at least one other Steeler has sickle cell syndrome, but has been cleared by the doctors.

I have a similar experience; my wife had an undiagnosed respiratory difficulty that gave her great difficulty when we visited the Grand Canyon. In our case it was aggravated not only by the altitude, but also by a defective exhaust system on our rental car leaking low levels of CO into the passenger compartment.

He had been cleared by the medics, though; but Lebeau chose not to activate him, and I don't suppose anyone will question that. Medically there might be no more risk to Clark than to anyone else, but psychologically I wouldn't have wanted to push him out there.
