Cleveland was once a power on the AFL, just as the Steelers were once nothing in the NFL. That is all ancient history; the Browns can only look back on glory; the Steelers are the glory of the NFL now, and they've done it in an era when skill in drafting matters more than how rich you are.

Many Pittsburgh fans who used to hate Cleveland as if it were that conceited team from a Texas cow town, now pity them. The Steelers have proven you can win while rebuilding.

 

Where are they now?

I refer to the people who dismissed the Steelers from consideration after we lost some games our practice squad should have been able to win.

Week 10 Picks:

Chicago over San Francisco - Chicago isn't a great football team, but they are consistent in their wins and losses. They lose to good teams and beat bad teams. The trend should continue. They are who we think they are.

Falcons over Panthers

Dolphins over Bucs - Kudos to the Bucs for getting that first win. Unfortunately, I don't think Miami will allow a second against them.

Vikings over Lions - Statistically, the Vikings are a better team in every category.

Jets over Jags - This was a tough pick, but I like the Jet's D to squeak out a narrow victory. But, it could go either way.

Steelers over Bengals - The Steelers are a vastly better team with a healthy Polamalu; but the Bengals have proven to be something different than the Bengals of Old. It's going to be a great game. In the end, these two teams that are so familar with one another will have a so familar outcome: Steeler victory. The Steelers Defense will shut down the Bengal offense and possible score 7 or 14 points on their own.

Saints over Rams - The Saints may be the best team in the NFL right now and the Rams may be the worst. This is a no-brainer.

Titans over Bills - Could the Titans go three in a row? They statistically have a better offensive than the Bills, and they are in a tougher division. This will be a good game.

Broncos over Redskins - Denver has felt the "ouch" of the AFC North recently and will enjoy getting back to their regular caliber of opponent.

Chiefs over Raiders - This is a good match up that I would usually give the edge to the Raiders. But, there is too much turmoil in Oakland.

Cardinals over Seahawks

Cowboys over Packers

Eagles over Chargers

Colts over Pats - The Pats aren't a good football team this year. Their division is one of the worst, with the Pats the only team above 500. If the Colts were healthy, this game would be a blow out. It will be fun to watch the Pats lose in the playoffs. Even banged up, I think the Colts have enough to beat the Pats.

Baltimore over Cleveland - The Ravens will get their left foot right this week with an easy win over the Browns.

You don't give it him on his OWN 30 with 2 minutes if you can possibly avoid it. I'd back the Pats to gain two yards, wouldn't you?

The real damage was done with the pointless time-outs. There wouldn't have been two minutes but for that.

 

No, I would not assume the odds to be near as good by giving him the ball on his own 30. Any QB with 2 minutes and only 28 yards to go will probably score. It takes a hell of a lot of luck and skill to go 70 yards in 2 minutes, granted Manning has done it many times before, but the Pats have made 4th down and 2 a hell of a lot less times.
