  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Aside from "know what I'm sayin'?", which was the subject of another thread...I've always had a dislike for:

    "if you will"
    "the bottom line"
"at the end of the day"

Oh, and since we're on a porn forum, I have to throw in another one I hate:

    "eating her out"

I had a professor once who had a bad habit of heaving in the term "vis a vis" whenever he ran out of anything else to say. Drove us bonkers. :)

Ugh! I hate "my bad" too... especially from white people. As a matter of fact, I can't stand any lingo associated with one group of people, when it's used by another. It always seems either mocking and racist, or utterly retarded to me. I have to admit I'm guilty sometimes though... if I get into a groove with alot of British movies (which I love) I can't stop myself from saying "bloody" and "arse" and calling people twats and cunts... and when I say "say" I mean out loud, not in print. I don't fake an accent, I just say them in my own normal, slightly southern sounding voice. Apparently it's quite entertaining to my friends. :excited: And I went completely scots after reading Trainspotting for awhile; like two weeks. That book is written in such a thick dialect, part of it, that you almost have to immerse yourself in it in order to follow it. Or I do, anyway; maybe I'm weird.

I didn't even realise it was used by a specific group. First time I came across it was on here and I just thought it sounded retarded...

As far as I can tell, it started out as a black thing(which I say with zero racism, I promise... I acknowledge differences in races though, it's silly not to), and was STOLEN BY THE WHITE MAN! ::giggles madly::

I don't want to sound like a smartarse but "My Bad" isn't racist, the saying can be found back in Shakspeare's day,.......

Shakespeare used the term with something like the current meaning, in his Sonnet 112:
Your love and pity doth the impression fill
    Which vulgar scandal stamp'd upon my brow;
For what care I who calls me well or ill,
So you o'er-green my bad, my good allow?

There's more terms for it's use on this link, http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/my-bad.html

Isn't that supposed to be 'to all intents and purposes?

    Just wondering.........

    Intents and Purposes

The correct phrase is "to all intents and purposes." This phrase dates back to the 1500s and originated in English law, where it was "to all intents, constructions, and purposes." In modern usage, "for all intents and purposes" is also acceptable. The phrase means "for all practical purposes" and is generally used to compare two nonidentical acts or deeds, i.e., "She went to his room and drank with him, which he viewed to all intents and purposes as consent to sex." (In reality, only a sober 'yes' is consent to sex so to all intents and purposes he is a rapist). A shorter equivalent phrase is "in effect."
When used in a strictly legal sense, the wording would be "intent and purposes," as it refers to one's mental attitude/state at the time said action occurred. A common malapropism is "for all intense and purposes", (also, "for all intensive purposes") a result of the original phrase being misheard and repeated. The word "intense" is used here incorrectly; "intense" is used in English to indicate a degree of intensity, i.e., "As the afternoon passed, the fire grew more intense."
