  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    1. Does anyone NOT have an i-pod. Why did you buy it? What is the quality like?

    3. What would your friends be surprised to know you have on ure player. I have a US jazz singer on mine called Madeleine Peyroux (3 albums actually) I would never tell anyone about this, i'd get hell!!

    4. How much time do you spend listening to music. I spend around 3-4 hours a day listening to my music. Any1 else?

I do NOT have an iPod... I used to have an independent mp3 player, but the last two phones I've had have had integrated ones, so I just use those now... currently I only have about 2 gigs of space so I do have to trade things out a bit... I have everything from 80s pop, 90s gangsta rap, to alot of brand new darkwave and black metal... on shuffle you might hear Joan Jett, then Cannibal Corpse, then Snoop Dogg... though I don't listen to much rap made in the last 10 years or so. I have more Tool and Nine Inch Nails than anything else... I probably take up about a gig between the two bands. I take it everywhere, listen to music on it pretty much anywhere I go... it makes all those boring domestic errands more fun... but I don't really use it at home, since I have my computer, with more like 120 or so gigs of music hooked up to my stereo system. I spend most of my day with music at least playing in the background.

My friends wouldn't be surprised by anything, they all know how weird I am, and that I DJ sometimes, so I had to expand my taste in music to keep things fresh... though generally, when I play, it's either rock/metal or goth/industrial... and I'll find a way to sprinkle any set liberally with the work of Maynard. :excited:

    Nothing disgraceful about Madeleine Peyroux.

Yes, actually, that was me... aren't they awesome? Those two are all they have out, so far, but I love it. "Way of the Fist" is what hooked me, and I never looked back. :)

Not only do I have an iPod, I just bought an iPod touch. Hasn't arrived yet.

My musical tastes are pretty broad-ranging. From Tool and Nine Inch Nails to Nina Simone and Bobby Darin. People would probably be most surprised by the Nina Simone.

My iPod goes with me almost everywhere. It's why I was able to justify spending the cash on a new model as the battery on my old one slowly fades. It's not a superfluous purchase because I really do use it constantly. I have about 10 gigs of music and several podcasts I listen to, as well as audio books that I download since English-language books here can be hard to find.

And, if anyone has ever shopped in a Korean supermarket before on a weekend, one would realize that being able to tune out and navigate the crowds, mostly by instinct, is a valuable survival skill. Koreans have almost no sense of personal space or spatial orientation. Think of a flock of birds all high on LSD and you start to get the idea..

    1. I have had a total of two iPods. First one I bought was the 80GB, but that broke when I went to Iraq the second time. So I bought me the 160GB one for my deployment to Afghanistan. The quality is incredible, and the Pelican case is what saved it this time.

    2. The genres of music on my iPod are a wide range. I have R&B, Country, Disco, Classical Rock, Dance, Rock, Rap, Hip Hip, Latin, Punk, Alternative, Classical, Opera, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Dance, House, and many more. I also have TV shows and movies on there.

    3. I have plenty of artists that my friends would make me give up my man card on the spot, if they knew some of the artists that I have on my iPod. But it is good music, with some nice lyrics, so I personally do not care.

    4. I spend about 7 to 8 hours a day listening to music.

Wow!; 7 or 8 hours. good job you have the 160GB. I kinda knew that music meant a helluva lot to ppl. I never go anywhere without mine now: walking my dogs, in the car, in the shower, shagging my missus (lol. Only the dog walking, just a crappy joke)

    Thanx ElCas, take care.;)

Oh oh oh... you should definitely go get some Tool... and once you realize what a genius Maynard is, also get A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. It's... transcendent. That is the music that makes me the very happiest in the pants. :p

He has another project out called Children of the Anachronistic Dynasty... but it's very odd stuff. It sounds to me like he wanted to take the most discordant sounds he could find and make them musical. He suceeds, in a very weird way... but it's definitely not going to appeal to the masses.

I do not own an iPod. I used to use an IAudio mp3 player; that was simply fantastic. Now, I use my Sony Ericsson phone with boosted memory.

I have a very large, and extremely varied music collection, from Renaissance sacred music to black metal. It's simpler to ask what I don't like: and that would be - almost all music that comes from a modern black cultural setting. It's not racism, I simply cannot stand rap, hiphop, R'n'B... to me, it's just all crap. I can't find the talent in it. Others things include: soul, swing, big band, general pop music... that's about it for what I dislike.

Actually, a lot of rock I consider to be absolute bollocks.

Children... was Maynard's first band. I'm listening on YouTube because your description of discordant noise intrigued me.

Is this what you call discordant? Oh.

I own a first generation Zune (bought it when they were discontinuing it so I got a good price on it)

I have a variety of stuff on my zune, ranging from oldies, soft rock, pop, rap, metal, blues, ska, classic rock, hard rock, electronica, dance, hardcore...

    probably something like Bonnie Tyler....

I'd say probably 1 to 2 hours a day.. use to be more.. but I can't go a day without music.. music is my hardcore drug...
