Who thinks that the voting aged should be dropped to 16 in the UK? and what are your reasons for this?

i personaly think that if your olsd enough to join the armed forces, get married, live on your own and have childern why shouldnt you be allowed to vote?

 

Teenagers are practically retarded when it comes to making responsible choices. The reason the age to join the military is so low is because teenagers think they are invincible and are easy to brainwash, and they usually don't realise they are considered dispensable.

There should be a minimum age of 30 and required testing for a person to qualify for voting rights.

Under no circumstances, in fact the vote should be removed from anyone below 21, who has served a custodial prison sentence, and most importantly anyone who owns knock-off burberry clothing.

You can only train, you can't be deployed operationally until you turn 18.

Yes, the people that should be allowed to vote have to know a certain amount of information about their candidate, or even knowing enough about the person running for office to differentiate them from the next person; in order to legally be able to vote.

 

Yes you can join what are known as Junior Leader Regiments, or into the Army apprentice colleges. They spend up to 2 years training and rade training, it is a system I went through, though many years ago that provides you with soldiers who when the reach 18 are far better trained than an 18 year old who as just finished basic training and is liable for deployment.

Voting age and a few other things available to 18 year olds should be raised back to 21.

 

Gotta agree with this m8. Plus, it's a fact that when ppl are 16 or so, just out of school they are more likely to vote Labour; fucking Trot teachers filling their heads with leftist bullshit.
As people get older (and wiser) they are more likely to be conservative in their outlook.
Plus a helluva lot of teenagers cant spell their fucking names never mind think about politics.

 

Oh okay. That's fine then, so long as there is no commitment to continue with the military or deploy after signing up at 16.
