He called me stupid. I could present a completely well reasoned, intelligent, thought out, rational, logical, 100% accurate argument to back up my assertion if you'd like. I don't particularly feel like doing that everytime somebody provokes me to say something that is so obviously true though, especially when it almost always gets wasted on people who can't just accept it or can't ever accept something that I said.

Sorry, Baller. I'd missed that first post of yours. OK, so you were raised in a Catholic household, and in a Catholic neighbourhood. Your friends and team-mates in your sports were predominantly, if not exclusively, Catholic. You attended chuirch from a young age and you felt, at the time, a sense of belonging to that community.

Yet you say that none of that had any bearing on your views about the existence of God or the truth of Christianity? I'll be honest, mate. Growing up in a house where the existance of God is accepted had bearing on my world view and my attittudes and my politics and my behaviour. I might not like some of what it gave me but it gave it to me.

Perhaps you are different, though, and you are able to set that to one side and be completely rational about it. If you are you've done something quite remarkable and I congratulate you.

I'm sorry that you still believe that I have insulted you. I assure you that I have not intended any insult in anything I've written on this or any other subject. I have been frustrated by your behaviiour several times and I have asked you to behave in a more civil and reasoned way on more than one occasion, both publicly and privately. Someimes you have listened. More often you have chosen not to accept my advice. That is,of course, your choice.

Furthermore, I don't see how it would be possible to prove relative intelligence through an internet forum discussion, or how that would illuminate this particular discussion. However, If you feel that it's relevent then go ahead and make your case. I'll be interested to read that, too.
