Please tell us your favorite Pizza Chain.

We would also love to hear what your favorite pizza flavor is. Thin crust or thick; fave sauce,fave toppongs.

 

I don't like chain store pizza. I prefer local shops. Not all are great, but the good ones put the chains to shame.


Thick crust, definitely. If I wanted a cracker, I'd eat a cracker.


Five toppings is too messy for me. I like either pepperoni and green peppers or pineapple and anchovy.

 

Thick crust, double cheese, pepperoni, maybe sausage. If I wanted vegetables with my pizza, I'd eat a salad, but that's just me. I hate vegetables.

Bacon and broccoli or mushroom and pepperoni for toppings. I guess the best chain pizza place is Pizza Hut, but I wouldn't go there unless there was no way to reach a local shop

There are quite a few places around here that are good. I don't want to name names, but Italian run pizza joints make the best pizza. Then the Greeks are a close second After that is American run pizza restaurants, then the chain's

My favorite Pizza is Allegretti's in Milwaukee. Deep dish Sicilian Supreme. Real Italian Pizza is like a meat pie.

 

Actually, real Italian pizza usually has no meat.

The overloading of meat on pizza is pretty much American.

 

I like a local take 'n bake pizza place the best, my favorite from there is a garlic chicken pizza on a paper thin crust. It's to die for.

For order in, I like Pizza Hut's pepperoni lovers.

 

Tell that to the Italians who make the pizza's at Allegrettis. Although you are correct that the overloading of meat is a nono, the true Sicilian pizzaa was usually covered in leftovers.

 

TRUE. Leftover vegetables and bits of fish. TRUE Sicilians don't eat a lot of meat. Meat pizza is Northern Italian, and even there they don't use a lot of meat.

 

I love pizza, but I prefer the local places...I never order from the chains...
My favorite is probably one with everything on it...Yummy!!!

In Italy people ate according to what they grew and raised in their areas of the country...They eat a little different all over Italy!!!

In the U.S., "ethnic" restaurants have too great a tendency to Americanize their selections and the biggest shift from traditional fare is to put meat on and in everything.

 

I really love a hot and spicy seafood pizza....but not from a chain store. Yuck!!

If I have to eat chain pizza, Pizza Hut, but prefer independent pizzerias New York style my fave.

 

We really only have pizza chain stores where we live, and our favorites (mainly because it the closest to the house!) is Pizza Guys.

So it isn't really Italian, and it's owned by a Ukrainian family, and the workers all seem to be Asians, but dammit, it's good after a long day at college or working with the horses.

Our favorite one is the 222 deal, two large pizzas, two toppings each and a 2 litre bottle of soda, for $22.22! (or something like that, I forget the exact price.)

toppings are pepperoni on both, and then mushrooms on one, and olives on the other. Delish.

although it might be nice to eat a pizza that's actually made by Italians...
