Kinda late in on this, but I prefer someone I can carry an intelligent conversation with, albeit stimulating or intellectual before, during, or after. Gotta stroke my brain too for me to get hot. That is why gals like Kimi are so hot,,,,,duh.

Personally I find intellect very sexy and by the same vein a lack thereof a massive turn-off. I think that this will probably prove to be the majority vote here though as generally speaking people who are interested in discussing or exploring sexuality tend to be a little more open-minded and therefore a cerebral element becomes more of a necessity.

 

I find intelligence very attractive, but it is not the only measure of a woman.

I have been with some intelligent women who turned out to be real bitches, and some not so intelligent women who were great people.

In bed, I find the same thing- sometimes intelligence makes for very fun times, sometimes it makes for boring, overanalyzed, passionless sex.

Intelligence is just one part of personality, and it is the whole package that makes a person attractive.

 

I like being able to talk to a woman and not feel like I am talking to a couch cushion or doorstop. The only thing more attractive than a smart woman is a confident woman.

This....More than knowledge. A wise and smart woman can make one's life heaven outside the bedroom. A person just can't fuck all the time.

 

Men are more likely to avoid a woman who makes significantly more money than they do. Women tend to avoid men who make significantly less than they do. When a man becomes successful he has access to more women. When a woman becomes successful she has access to fewer men. This alone can explain why men tend to earn more than women. :idea:

 

Very much so. If you don't have the social skills, pure intelligence can be as much of a turn off as anything else.
Alas, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to develop good social skills either. I'd say it is the whole package that counts, not just some good parts.

Now, for my fellow guys. If you ever encounter one of those women that use their intelligence as a weapon here is the absolute best way to handle them. You calmly and politely let them finish the "I'm so much smarter than you" speech and you say "I'm sorry, could you repeat that? I was too busy staring at your tits to pay any attention."

Now after using this I've only ever seen two reactions to it. The first, and by far more popular, is that they react negatively with a rant or a simple insult. If that's the case just walk away because any other interaction just wastes time. Or they laugh and actually talk to you.

I find intelligence INCREDIBLY attractive.

And dont believe the bullshit you read in psych texts its 90% bullshit. Maybe 10% is based on actual science the rest is based on what a few absolute whackjob cultleaders (freud, jung, etc) made up.

 

Personally I prefer intelligent women, but lets be honest there has to be some form of attractiveness their, a woman could have graduated with a PhD at the age of 16, but if she looks like a total mess, I'm not going to spare her a second glance. It sounds incredibly chauvinistic, but it's just how I feel.

When it comes down to it though, I would rather choose the intelligent, less attractive woman, than I would the attractive, rather air headed woman.


Of course ideally she would have both traits. :-E

 

Okay. Since there are several people that say they are attracted to intelligent women, then why is it that typically, very rarely do you see happy intelligent women in a relationship?

I would consider myself intelligent, and I've been in a happy relationship for 6 years. Further, nearly all of my female friends at my university, which is one of the top 100 in the nation, are also in happy, long-term relationships. I think that there are just as many idiotic women as there are intelligent women who haven't found a relationship yet.

 

I love intelligent women but, an intelligent woman would have nothing to do with me. I'm chasing my tail!
