I've never had any problems with Vista either. Is Windows 7 in the long run going to be all its cracked up to be? Its fairly new,right?

 

I use Vista and have had no problems with it - OK it's directory system of saving is a bit weird and its a mild irritation to have do the smallest tasks as an administrator. I liken using to being Uncle Fester - he's not popular, but he's here.

 

It`s just that people cant figure out how to use a Windows OS properly. I never had problems with my Vista, XP, or 2000. I personally prefere them to the Mac OS`s.

 

The directory architecture is a bit retarded, yeah.

I use both extensively. I can honestly say that I wouldn't give up either of them, and enjoy the freedom of having both at my disposal.

We bought a new lap top a couple of years ago, it came with Vista, just after it came out, out desk top unit was running XP. The problems of program incompatibility made us put Vista on the desk unit as well, the transition was anything but smooth.

But now we have the desk top, two lap tops and an Atom lap top, all running Vista with absolutely no problems. Perhaps it's more of a pain to get used to new ideas, but we are going to be seeing them for the rest of our days and they will be coming closer together.

 

Can't Get Full Site Version

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help. I'm running Windows7 and when I try to visit the site all I get is the mobile version on my desktop. I click on the 'non-mobile' link and the page just refreshes. I have Java installed and adobe flash player but I just can't get into the site. Any suggestions please?

Been running it on my work laptop and my home desktop. absolutely love it.

As was mentioned though, I moved from XP to 7 so it wasn't exactly seamless but after some tweaking and configuration and what not...its now running perfectly.

No problems with Call of Duty 4 or Modern Warfare 2 either

 

The beta was solid - though no plans to make the switch

 

Win 7 is very very good operation software ! I have this windows 2month and still very fast

 

Photoshop runs perfectly well on PCs.

No, it's Logic and Logic Pro that I love about Macs.

 

I don't need a comp to use logic. But now there's some kind better version of logic? I must learn more.... So as to become even more coldly and mechanically logical............

All windows 7 is, is a "fixed" version of vista. If you look at version #'s, you will find that XP=5, Vista=6, and Windows 7=6.1.

All windows 7 is updated, less buggy, less process running during startup. They could have simply fixed it with another service pack, but wanted to give their customers a "new" OS as reassurance that they don't suck.

I,ve been in the pc business about 20 years. I buy laptops in bulk from different business`s, hospitals and companies when they decide to re-place everything they have with new ones. I buy them. I repair if needed, then upgrade with fresh version of windows and resell them. When i started the business 20 years ago, windows 3.1 was considered an upgrade. haa. If i was gonna try to put a number on the amount of laptop computers that i,ve bought, refurbished, installed windows on and re-sold, an average would be maybe something like 8-20 laptops a week for the past 20 years. So anyways, after installing and using win 3.1, win95, 98, win 2000, win ME, xp, vista and windows 7, i only use xp.

 

Well, when you're done repairing all those PCs, you might want to try building a time machine so you can go back to 2009 and give your answer to the person who asked this question three years ago.
