That's your right to feel that way, but I feel differently.

In fact, if you go back to my OP, I stated even then I was giving it a month, so that it gave people plenty of time to let me know if they wanted to stay in touch - December being a pretty busy month generally, so many people who are normally active are a lot less likely to be around - and so I too had plenty of time to catch people who might turn up "at the last minute". I actually did that just a day or two ago, so it's certainly proved worthwhile being patient, rather than taking your recommended course of action.

Besides, after all is said and done, you're not the one leaving - I am. I chose my own way of doing so, and I'm happy with that choice. Besides, this way, no-one can complain afterwards, "Well, why didn't Fluffy say he was going, or give us time before he went, to stay in touch?"

So - unless I personally feel there's nothing to be gained by staying until that time, I'll be heading out on the 27th, as planned. And if a week is too long for you to deal with, I'd respectfully suggest you put me on ignore, immediately.
