It can be a means of a natural population control, I mean wouldn't it be brilliant? Gay individuals can still enjoy sex and love and everything, they will just never produce offspring.

This idea is suggested by the findings that if you have an older brother, you have a higher chance of being homosexual.. the more older brothers you have, the higher the chance for you to turn out to be gay.. doesn't work for women though..

of course there can be other reasons for homosexuality to exist in a population like reducing aggression..

 

You are born that way. You may not act on it... but you are what you are. You can be celibate, you can deny it, but you're still gay no matter how you try to change it. Doesn't matter if you are surrounded by women and no men or surrounded by men, regardless of environment... if you are Gay, you are Gay.

I always thought gays were gays because that was just the way they were. This thinking changed when I was talking to a gay guy I knew and he told me he thought most girls were pretty. Questioning him further he admitted that he found girls attractive to look at but couldn't help having sex with men. It was a lifestyle choice and he admitted that.

Then I also knew of a man in his fifties who had been divorced and for the first time in his life he had sought gay sex after a encounter in a public toilet. He wasn't hardwired and born that way.

I suspect in the majority of cases men seek gay sex because they like the thrill. If this theory was false why do a majority of gay men not get involved in long term relationships and just seek casual sex.

The number of men who seek both oral and anal sex with girls to the point of it being obssesive also suggests to me it is just rampant hormones and daring and naughty taboo sex that drives them on. After all the majority on here are men and some of the subjects they put up including child sex, young sex, rape, incest. suggest this theory holds water

I can't tell you why some men don't enter into long term relationships, maybe because for so fucking long gay men have had to hide who they are, or maybe like a lot of men, they think with their dicks. Lots of men straight and gay are not in relationships. Who knows, but that factor doesn't support your thesis. I have been in a ltr for 13 years and we are going strong. There are a number of gay men and women that have been and are in ltr relationships, 20, 30, 40 years. How many gay men do you really know anyway? You can't generalize about people.

Are your heterosexual? If the government, church, community in etc. etc. told you that it was illegal for you to be hetero and you could only have same-sex realtionships... what would you do? Would your inate sexuailty be a choice? No. It's innate. Like the color of your eyes. No choice.

 

I have nothing against homosexuality but believe it is a result of genetic mutation. I am not sure I would call it a disease more than a freak of nature.

 

First off, calling someone an idiot for them thinking men "turn" gay is in itself idiotic. There is no conclusive proof for either a genetic explaination or a cognitive descision explaination. Some men are gay early on, some were strait then start to turn for no disernable reason, some have awful experiences with women and turn gay afterwards.

And you can sure as hell gaurentee that many bi women today are bi strictly because its considered hot and desirable in our generation.

 

I doubt that anyone would choose an orientation that is vilified by a large segment of the population, condemned by major religions, and which increases the danger of getting venereal diseases, including AIDS. Ever since I was about five or six I have been aware of romantic feelings for persons of the female sex. I have never felt anything romantic or sexual for a male. I did not choose to be this way. I read an article from the NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE, that a study was done at the Royal School of Medicine I believe? And that every man, women and this gene. It's normal to be curious of ones sex. The study showed some men from birth displayed more feminine traits than male traits. It isn't the parents fault or any ones fault. Some men growing up tend to show it more. I know the mother knows her son is becoming feminine and she's OK with it. Motherly instinct. The Father role is quite different and maybe more anti-gay and aggressively against his sons behavior. It's funny growing up your sister, her friends and cousins could shower together. Boys it was like what the HELL are you doing? I guess no one really knows why men become gay it just seems to happen as girls becoming lesbians? Too me they're human beings and everyone must be accepted as a person and not judged.
