I was on the Colorado Marijuana Program for about a year and it was amazing to sit down with someone, get asked my medical problems, and since they included both chronic pain and muscle tension and spasms make a selection of two or more 16 different strains known to work for those symptoms.

Exactly. And over here in the US some places used to broadcast this public service message at 10 pm every night: "Parents, its 10 pm. Do you know where your children are"?

I saw where they needed to change that message when Methamphetamine was making a big run around here. They needed to ask: "Parents, its 10 am. Do you know where your beautiful high school daughter is? Because chances were that she was ditching school and was on her knees or hands and knees working off her debt at the local speed dealers house

Did you know that once upon a time it was actually like that in the US? Especially young people would be smoking marijuana and taking LSD right out in the open in broad daylight. At that time 75% of people under 25 were using drugs.

Then guess what even if some people can handle drugs others can't and it fucks them up. Or in others it wastes their time and opportunities. So when younger brothers and sisters saw older brothers and sisters fuck themselves up with drugs, drug use went down dramatically. And it was continuing to decline when Ronald Dick Head Reagan kicked off the war on drugs. And we started putting drug users in jail which is how we became the Prison Nation.

I saw nearly the same thing in a TV broadcast several years ago about supplying addicts with heroin in the UK. In that case there was a single mother who was working as a prostitute to support her, her child and heroin addiction. She entered a program that provided her with a certain amount of cigarettes dipped in heroin every week. As soon as her heroin was supplied she got a job as a secretary, had her own apartment and transportation and she and her child were living a happy and healthy life.

And the pharmacist who supplied her was much more worried about the possible harm the tobacco could cause then he was about the heroin.

 

You can snort heroin. But if you were to snort a line of heroin as big as a regular line of coke you would probably be in a world of shit. Be careful.

an observation you can just read the last paragraph if you want a quick answer.

As an outsider looking into the whole hard drug issue, I find that a fair number of people I know are actually into hard drugs and do a very good job of being normal (not showing the signs of addiction/able to control the urge to use it).

The only issue I see come up is the fact that while they might not use hard drugs at home often/at all, they will most certainly use them when outside the home (attending parties/gatherings with other users etc). They will not use it with people they don’t know (however I have seen a fair number sneak off to the bathroom to powder there nose, which raises the question as to why they would have that in there bag) and enjoy keeping everything as quiet as possible (because of the legal ramifications where I am).

I have always been of the mind to each there own, but I tend to just watch and listen to how they act before usage and after usage and find that they are escaping from life. Be it the good life, bad life, tedious life, free life, they all need to escape from there person.

I have personally contemplated joining in just to experience the same escape, but find I already have my addictions that help me too escape.

Namely a very damaging addiction to computers (just can’t get off unless I force myself too), or TV (waiting around for another of my favorite shows to watch) and view these addictions just as destructive as the hard drugs.

The problem is not just the addictions to the drugs but it’s an addiction to a whole host of other things. They have their drugs, but then TV, and computers, then sex, then a different type of drug and by the end of the conversation you find they need close to 100 different types of addictions to help them relax. I view my self as somewhat simple with only 25 addictions (Porn, Computers, TV, Tea, reading anything, knowledge, etc) but no drugs(especially certain legal ones that keep you pumped when you should rest) . They have too many addictions at the same time, each one of them with the ability to destroy your life, while providing you an escape from it.

i havent done a lot of crazy drugs i have never smoked crack or meth never done extasy or shot heroin...i smoked week ive done coke and mushrooms i drink and have been tricked into smoking pcp i love smoking pot i havent done it in a while but i quit on my own.. coke wasnt all it was cracked up to be and i didnt like the people i was with when i did it one guy got mad cuz i was being too nice to his girl and he pulled out a gun it went off he missed and i never did the drug again...i grew shrooms once but once they stopped growing i stopped tripping no biggy the pcp thing was some weed laced with it and didnt know till it was too late but i never smoked it again i dohave a old roomate that has literaly died 12 times from heroin overdoses ...hes addicted i also know other people that have smoked crack and meth one time and never did it again so ....i guess it really just depends on the person
