    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

    Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

    First of all, the 25th of December is not a religious holiday. That is something that was established around 300AD by the Roman Emperor when it was decided that Christianity would become the Empire's main religion.

    May I also remind you that the sun dies on the cross (the Southern Cross starcluster) on the 22nd of December, that it stays dead for three days, to resurrect or be (re)born on the 25th.

    Also interesting to know is that Betlehem means House Of Bread in Hebrew. Bet-Le-Hem is also the common name for the starsign Virgo, or virgin...

    To answer more straightforward: I, as a 'freethinker' (not a real Atheïst, because that would imply I'm against religion. I'm not. I'm against organized religion) am not bothered in the least by Christians feting their brains out. What I find more to my disliking is the commercialisation of the whole thing.

    But hey, that's the whole purpose of our society, ainnit? Commerce? :)

    I am from Belgium, so I'm a descendant of a mix of Kelts and Gauls.

    With those Kelts and/or Gauls, a pagan used to be nothing more than a villager, but the meaning somehow changed under Roman Chatolic influence, because of the different gods those 'pagans' followed.

    Central European Druids had knowledge about magnetic currents following certain paths on the Earth and they built gathering places at crossroads of such currents, marked by Rhunestones, Hunbeds and Menhirs.

    Rome decided to erradicate Kelt/Gaul beliefs by building churches in those spots and as such the Keltic (or Celtic) and Gaul peasants (pagans) were forced to switch to Roman Chatolicism...

    I don't mind Christmas. The only thing that bugs the piss out of me is when Christians think they own the day and it's copywrited to them. It's like they think there was no such thing as a winter celebration during this time of year until about 1894. Like my sister, who declared in all caps that JESUS IS THE TRUE REASON FOR THE SEASON! Sure he is. If you're completely ignorant of your history. Which almost all of them are. They get offended when you tell them every single icon of the Christmas season, from the lights to the trees to the wreaths to the holly to the mistletoe to the gift giving... It's all copied from older pagan rituals. There is nothing Christian about Christmas except for the cross. And their belligerent assertions otherwise are foolish.
