This truely is heartbreaking, sure some day we all will be here, but for those we touch and leave behind the path is difficult. However, seeing as he was so close I can only hope that Ricco had come to peace with his life and took comfort in how he lived before passing on and taking a serene approach to the end.

I have not had the pleasure of coming to know Richard Carson, but I am sadened nevertheless.

Maybe we can soothe ourselves with the thought, when looking up at the night sky, that a new star is twinkeling somewhere.

You know it kid. What a fucked up, fragile, contrary and dysfunctional bunch we are. But its still just us right here against the rest of the whole fucking world and now were one more fighter short.

Just hang with me here for a second on this one ragged shard we can agree on and I think taking into account our normal discourse, either RC or his memory will be greatly honored in the contrast.

 

I am saddened to hear of this loss. I won't feel the full pain of this until some time has passed.

One of our own is gone forever. He's clicked the big LOG OFF button, and gone back to the real world. The world without illusions.

Bullshit. I have lost nothing. I never "met" or talked or knew anything about the man, therefore I have not incurred a loss. That said, death is never easy especially when it happens during a time usually reserved for joyous moments. I won't say "Rest in peace", because Richard's body could care less what I say. I will think kind thoughts for the surviving family. May they stay strong and carry on with their lives remembering their family member with warm smiles.

 

Rico would answer you in this way, don't be an asshole. We lost a friend, if you didn't, tough shit.
