  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

When the IRA were murdering innocent women and children I wanted the death penalty bringing back for acts of terrorism, since that time I think that I have matured a bit and now think that imprisonment for life is more fitting.
However I would like to see people guilty of capital crimes sentenced to a prison that would afford them no hope whatsoever, no rehabilitation, no luxury, no stimulation, just pure punishment for their crimes.

I suppose that they could be allowed to earn some priviledges by agreeing to take part in medical trials and such like.

I guess I will put in my two cents worth as well. I am definitely for the death penalty in certain cases. If there is no doubt that the person committed the crime, let's go ahead and get it over with. I am an advocate of "an eye for an eye." If the killer killed a child, then there is no doubt that he/she should die in my opinion. The death penalty has additional benefits as well, one could argue all day about whether or not it keeps others from killing...I don't really care if it does or not...it keeps that particular person from killing. But then again, I think people like gang members, who do nothing but steal and sell drugs and harass people in their own neighborhood should also get the death penalty...not even that, just wipe their asses off the face of the Earth! We take a chance when sentencing a killer to life...twenty years from now, some bleeding-heart may decide that the killer has served enough time and let them out...then they kill again...AND, they have not served their time from the first murder. I also think, however, as long as there is a doubt, someone should not be sentenced to death. We all see every day though, killers who readily admit to what they have done and seem proud of what they have done...THOSE are the people who we should kill...it is not only wiping the smug smiles off their murdering faces, it is protecting the rest of us from these assholes. If anyone killed someone in my family, I would not want them to go to jail at all, I would want to do the job myself...LOL...pardon me for my passion on this, I just don't see why people can't seem to leave other people alone and live their life.

I do not believe the death penalty is just because of the falability of man and the cost of justice.

The fact is a person of means has a greater chance of avoiding the death penalty than a person of no means.

A crime committed in the heat of the moment is not the same as a pre-meditated crime.

As Jimmy says until we find a cure for death we cannot reverse any mistakes that man inevitably makes.

Forced labor camps used to thrive in the south until Hollyweird made it it's number one cause. Ever see Cool Hand Luke? It caused a bunch of spin off movies. Hollyweird felt that the camps were forced slavery and were therefore, a violation of the 8th amendment (just like they're behind Obama trying to close gitmo). Neil Young even had the hit song Southern Man, which caused a dust up between Neil and Lynard Skynard. It's Neil that Lynard are singing about in Sweet Home Alabama.

There's still a couple of these camps in Lousiana, but they're not easy to find-on purpose. Then, of course, there's the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona, which the liberal media has been trying to close for nearly twenty years now. Prisoners live outside in tents and wear pink.

but stalin was a mass murdering fuckhead ... we are supposed to B better than that !

i know where U´re comming from ! there are people that commit certain crimes that i just want to beat them to death ! but ... as a society we have to separate justice, human rigths and law from a freeking vendeta !

our justice cannot B a form of vengeance like sometimes we all feel like it would B the most appropriate and ... pleasant thing to do !

Even in Texas, which executes more prisoners than most countries combined, you don't get the death penalty unless you commit a murder, and you are committing another felony at the time-rape, robbery, etc. The death penalty is for pre meditated crimes, not because you found your wife in bed with another guy and you shot him in the heat of the moment. And like the numbers bear out, even if given the death penalty in Texas, you actually only have a 20% chance of getting the needle. The margin of error is slim at best.

I've heard it best said by radio host Charlie Jones "You broke the social contract, and for that, you must forfeit your life." BTW, Charlie isn't one of those Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity clones.

Firstly, you appear to consider that I am being remotely serious in my mentioning of Stalin.

Next, you imply that you empathise with some desire of mine to 'beat to death' those that commit certain crimes. I did not intimate this desire, and I certainly do not possess it. I have never wanted to beat to death anyone who has committed a crime, because I am not inherently a violent person. I do not believe that beating anyone to death is appropriate in any circumstances, for any reason - be it for justice, or for revenge.

While you may feel that violence towards the convicted is sometimes an 'appropriate and... pleasant' thing to do, I do not share these sentiments, and would appreciate not being tarred with them, either.

Lastly, while not wishing to get into a discussion about paedophiles, are you arguing, then, that you would wish to beat to death a very dear friend of mine, who has hurt no-one in his life?

The death penalty is not logically or morally supportable - but it is emotionally supportable.

Exacting an absolute punishment when having imperfect means to determine guilt is not a logical progression.

That being said, if another human were to do any member of my immediate family harm, and I had the opportunity, I would likely subject that person to the death penalty. But that's not because I believe in the process as a societal norm.

Also, once a prisoner is in custody, he is no longer a threat to the general populace and the death penalty becomes the murder of a defenseless person - this time by the state. Whom in the state shall we execute for murdering the murderer?

Shouting "kill 'em and kill 'em quick!" is the voice of passion, the understandable venting of empathetic people, but is also an impotent response to a larger problem. It's a child's scream against a nightmare.

Okay so lets say it costs 50,000 to keep someone in jail for one year.

Th Death Penalty after trials, medicine, expenses, taxes, lawyers comes out between 1 and 2.5 million!

now that 1 - 2.5 million is a shit load of money!

So lets say someone goes to jail at 30. It would be interesting to see how long people usually live in jail. Because he would have to be there 50+ years for him to cost 2.5 million. So to me it is better just to leave him in jail to die naturally or by someone else there

I don't know how many people are going to agree with me but the fucker should be put to death. I say take him out in a field cut his dick off and give her family shotguns and him a 5 second head start. Either way I hope the problem gets solved soon.
