Actually, I have read the entire thread. The last thing I read was that you think I am no better than a murderer because I want someone who CHOOSES to take an innocent life to lose theirs. Doesn't seem that complicated to me. To me there is a HUGE difference between taking an innocent life and taking the life of someone who preys on people who are just trying to live

Where's the difference? You kill someone who is innocent towards you. That makes yo a murderer too.

It ends when reasonable people stop emoting and start carefully thinking about what kind of world they want to live in, what things are unconstructive towards that end, accepting that not everything is going to be perfect, then acting in harmony with stated morals.

I'm afraid in your emotional outburst you reveal yourself to be irrational and seemingly incapable of doing anything other than dumping red herrings and false dichotomies all over the place.

But, you probably feel such a strong sense of self-righteousness about your position - you likely believe you are advocating for protection of the innocent - that convincing you to tone it down and consider the bigger picture is probably futile.

 

here in michigan we have no death penalty. which we really should have.
i think as soon as they are found guilty and have been given the penalty of death they should go right to the executional chamber DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT 100$.
seems that everyone else who gets a jail sentence goes straight to jail, so why not go straight to the execution chamber.

the laws are really screwed up. no matter where we live.

not being able to pay child support is a jailible offence. while killing someone is just a jail sentence.

 

Do some research and see how many people were found to be innocent after having spent years on death row...
