I don't believe we had a treaty in Vietnam since it was created essentially the same time we invaded. It was a French then Japanese then French colony, and it was separated into N and S so that the French could renigg on their promise for an independent Vietnam. We are drowning in red ink, the jobs picture is not improved (except in government), our private sector is reeling under a burden of deflated capital value and our leaders are playing gottcha games in Washington. Now many European and Asia countries are getting in deeper economic problems than we are. Yep, things are in recovery, not.

It will take a hell of a lot more work to reestablish confidence in the government and in the global economy.
