I still think your voting thread should only open on May 2. A reader might read a story on say April 28 and vote for it then. On say, May 1, another story is posted which the reader thinks is better, but can't vote for it.

Dumb reader, you might rightly say. Sure, but there are some. And dumb writers as well, as I give evidence of.

 

So at the earliest, our submissions could be validated by May 1st, or submitted at the latest date of May 1st. No limits on length, subject matter, or overall content. And we all assume the stories site will be fixed by May 1st. Isn't that asking too much?:excited: This is a free site after all

 

Not assuming anything, but I think the Sex Stories page is the best spot for these submissions. The one thread can take the reader to your story with a single click. With voting being done in the poll, we don't need that portion of the site to be up and working. We just need to be able to have our stories validated and posted. That hasn't seemed to be a problem.

SS has raised a good point. And also readers might need a longer time to read all the stories. Reading say, 100 stories in a few days, might result in some readers having raw palms and other places.
How about a three week submission time? But it also depends on how long you going to leave voting open for.

 

My reasoning behind a short submission period is so that no one will be tempted to read what someone else is doing. I've also noticed on other sites, the first stories submitted get the most reads. Depending on the number of entries, I would think that 3 weeks voting time would be sufficient.

One week to submit, when you receive validation, forward your link to me. When everyone's link is forwarded, a thread will be presented to the readers in this forum, with the poll attached. We will close polling by the end of May.

Does that seem fair?

Vampires have a very short window for them to have live sperm. Within minutes of feasting on live blood, their sperm is active and healthy. Usually that would be anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes, but only if the host the Vamp feasted on was in exceptional health. After that, they can't reproduce any live sperm only dead sperm. By the way, the dead sperm tastes very, very bitter. Hope that info helps!

I think this is wonderful. I'm making a list of everyone who said they'll try. I have some that pm'd me, too. I think we're going to have a couple new writers to surprise you.

 

A question: are the stories to be judged on their technical merit, or their 'hot' factor? I'm sure you're more than aware that many of the more technically competent writers are glossed over by readers in favour of crap like the drivel Emily writes - badly written vagina-fests.

 

Surely, that will be for the voting "public" to decide.

I'm in and whether technically competent or vagina fest it will be all my own work, except for the first paragraph of course.

Yes indeed! I've only written one other story but this challenge has sparked my interest to write some more, thanks to you, and I'm really taking this to heart :rose:

I too would like to know what criteria we will be judged upon. Maybe we can agree on a few points that will make up your decision? Something like:
Rating 1-5, 1 being poor 5 being good
1. Grammar - don't need to go grammar nazi but at least be reasonable in writing with the least bit of errors. Editing and proof reading is a must.
2. Stroke value - I stole this idea off somewhere else but basically its based on whether you find the story extremely arousing or not :excited:
3. Plot - suppose this would be if you enjoyed the story in its entirety and if it indeed told a story not just a few words jumbled together?

Cant think of anything else but thats my two cents its really hard to come up with this kind of stuff since alot of people like different genre so no matter what we agree upon for criteria there is going to be some form of bias. But either way it would be nice to have some skeletal make-up of what we should be looking at =]
