I'm tempted to cheat like what-his-name so that I will be disqualified and can just sit back and enjoy everyone's stories. Don't worry, I won't.

I am, however, really looking forward to reading stories from some of my very favorite authors all starting with the same paragraph.

 

I did not cheat I just submitted it way too early to be considered.... *cries*... but I will enjoy seeing how things turn out with so many different authors.

Now here's the way to LEGITIMATELY get your story in.

Think of a new name.

Do a minor rewrite. I'm sure you're the same as all of us and have seen mistakes as soon as your story has been accepted or parts which could be improved.

Submit the 'new' revised story under its new name. Within the dates as set by she who must be obeyed: The Goddess on High, ejls.

Did ejls actually say she wouldn't include your story in the contest? From what I recall, you're the one who disqualified yourself. Maybe if you ask her nicely she'll include it. It was an honest mistake, after all.

 

DC actually no... she just didn't return my pm... which either means I have some rocking B.O. that she can smell over the net or she doesn't want to talk to me, or she thinks I'm an idiot for submitting early... But I could be wrong she could just be busy with other people doing other things and I'm just forgotten because I'm not as distinguished as the rest of you all. No matter I have another story written and ready to go...

 

Or she overlooked your request to disqualify yourself and was going to include the title and link in the poll. Everyone makes mistakes, and I wasn't going to scold you. You've done that all by yourself. You just let me know which story to include.

 

I'm almost wanting to include both they... are very different I think I hope. so maybe it shows range? crap would it be fair?

 

I don't recall there being a limit to the number of stories that could be submitted...

I'm getting excited! I'm looking foward to seeing just how diverse our creations will be from the same beginning. In both my stories I tried to do the unexpected; I took the assumptions that you would make from the first paragraph and managed to throw them out while still staying consistent to the letter, though definitely not the spirit, of the paragraph.

Now if I could only discipline myself to finish the second story instead of posting comments on XNXX... Time to bring out the wrecking ball and pummel my way through my writer's block.

 

Another one with two stories? What's with you over-achievers?

 

Not to worry, I'll make up for it with my 1/2 story.
