You're right; I was just trying to turn a negative into a positive. As long as they keep attacking people like ejls, I have no problem going on the offensive. I may not be able to hunt him down, but I can turn his comment around and humiliate him in the very place where he tried to humiliate her.

But I agree that the better solution is to find a way to keep these cowardly bullies away from our stories.

I don't know if I would go that far, but if the coward was forced to show his user name when he posted, we could make his life a living hell here on XNXX until he recanted and apologized.

Again, I think the best solution is to give the authors the option of allowing anonymous comments or not, just like anonymous voting. And in both cases, I think they should be able to change this on any story after they've posted it.

I don't mind if the trolls attack me; I welcome the challenge. But if ejls doesn't like what's happening to her stories, I say we should give her the tools to fight back. She has Forum Search, Private Messaging and Public Messaging, so all she needs is his login name and she'll be able to take the fight right back to him. Although more likely he'll be too cowardly to comment, which is an even better result.

 

And just to get us back on track, how is everyone coming with their stories for the contest?

I've got a strong suspicion (from reading between the lines here and there) that our friend Don is a distinguished military vet. I believe he once wrote that he learned how to cry in Vietnam. You don't learn about the courage to defend freedom in war...You have this admirable trait inside your heart and soul. One need not question whether Don has it!

 

I am moved beyond my capacity to describe.

By the way, DC, my short story has been finished for about 2 weeks. I may even try proof-reading it soon.

Well, after the burst of 7 pages Monday, I took a day off and procrastinated a bit yesterday, but no more than usual. Then this morning a friend I had started a story for suprised me by telling me it was her birthday, so I quickly finished it up (6 pages in MS Word) and posted it here in the Sex Stories forum for her as a birthday gift. Then, well, I procrastinated some more...

 

I'm ready to post, and expect the little Obama troll to make an appearance

 

Now that would be a hoot. Allison and the Primdales rewritten in the style of JackassTales. New York Times Bestseller List, here we come! (That's the 2022 bestseller list, by the way)

The only victory I'm interested in right now is getting my other story finished before the deadline. So please, enter the contest.

Actually, I kind of hope I don't win the contest. Look at it this way: everyone but the winner gets to read at least one story that's better than the one they wrote. The winner has no such luck.

 

Mine is already in hot standby. Submitted, saved, but not yet for validation.

I even proof-read it.

 

You know, I never did tell you what the winner gets. They get to start their own contest - maybe based on a paragraph, a holiday, a time of year.

While some may not care, those of us who are concerned about our copyrights to our works will be interested. I've PM'd Lemark to advise him. I don't know what he may do, if anything, but we all should stay informed and exchange ideas and info.

And I can't wait to submit my challenge story here. Went over it one last time last night and found a few changes to make. And here I thought it was done a month ago. Sheesh.

I just finished my second story for the contest, just in time to post them both tomorrow on the first day. Actually, I just finished my first story, since it was the second story I started that I finished first. Not that anyone cares which order I wrote them in.

In fact, I doubt anyone cares that I finished any of my stories, but I'm just so excited that I had to share. Feel free to ignore me.
