Actually I'm with you. It seems to me like they've got the whole NHL playing for one country or another but this was a little different. I think it might have been the combination of professionals and Olympic athletes but that was a kick ass game to watch and I'd have to way the same thing for some others I've watched so far.

But the US was a pack of rabid dogs when they got near that net.

 

Dude, I know! Like there's only one sport worth watching in the Winter Olympics! They were AMAZING! They were OLYMPIANS, you know?!

 

Actually, Canada plays Russia if/when we beat the Germans next.

Perhaps a Canada-U.S. final? I like our odds in the rematch, your goalie can't play that well all the time can he?

Actually lacrosse is our national sport, but unofficially virtually everyone will say its ice hockey.
I think we will do better, and I see a Canada Russia final.

btw: the most exciting series Of All Time, was the Summit Series of 1972!(though others like the 1976 series and our last Olympic gold medal in hockey come close!)

Do you have a dictionary? A google button? They could give you a more comprehensive answer than me! There's a net with a goalkeeper, players have sticks with nets on them, they fling the ball to each other, catch it, shoot at the net and score, or are stopped by the goalie, played on grass or pavement.
That's the short explanation; its an old game first played by our aboriginals.

Lol. I was going to say the same thing. Hockey is our official national past time though.

And national means the whole country. Not a city. Just because you live in Detroit or another northern city doesn't mean your national sport is hockey. Lol. Those are still American cities and if I am not mistaken your national sport is Baseball.
