Not knocking Canada, at all. For a 30m country they've been epic all around. But if they keep adding sports there's more opportunities to win more medals than ever before, you see?

now please stop trying to make our wins less important than they are .

It really doesn't matter if you count bronze medals or not.

If they were not important they wouldn't be awarded to people.

And on another note even if you take away the U.S's bronze and Canada's and everyone else bronze since you seem to not count bronze medals the U.S still trumps you in Medals so Eat that. :laughing:

 

Why the Violence/Cynicism to the U.S?

 

Yeah, but you're not competing against "Every other team in 2010" in that arena, you're competing against whoever won 13 medals in the previous Olympics. Canada had more medal opportunities than whoever that team was (and it was prolly 2006 for 13 and 2002 for 12, etc. since there's been so much event inflation every Winter Olympics)

In no way am I denigrating Canada. Y'all are like our little sister who stayed with Mom when our parents divorced - we love you guys!

 

The IOC counts first by Gold, then by silver and last by bronze. In the IOC's eyes Canada is the best country in the Olympics. But the US did the best they ever did in the winter olympics not bad at all. way to go.

Agreed but people in this Country tend to have a lot of PRIDE in this country and it tends to make people a bit pig headed.

 

Likely a waste of my cash! I do not patronize restaurants simply to be there, or to get paltry portions of food, and likely over-priced at that.
I would rather go to a place like the Wheatshaef or King Edward.

I have no problem with Canada, I like hockey hate soccer. I love the wilderness and visit Alaska annually I just wanted to try to bug some Canadians.

Only nations I do not like are the Dutch, French and Welch
