Actually dude, im against all religion. Particularly Christianity and Islam. Some are worse than others. You don't get buddists raping little boys, or flying planes into buildings.

America is a secular country. where religion is kept seperate from the state.

I love the way becuase that post attacked some islam, you assume I'm only against Islam. Where a few posts before I wrote a long detailed post about my views on Christianity.

Your right i should have been specific, the original crusade was done to protect Europe from invading forces. the byzantine empire was being taken over so Alexios I asked the pope for help, the pope made a decree and the fighting began, this established states such as Antioch, the quest for the holy land and drive out the Muslims (aka Seljuk Turks) became byproducts of this fear of conquest. many thought if the byzantine empire fell Europe would fall very quickly. Out of the many crusades were taught about historians are not even sure those ever took off the ground and many of them had larger political or economic reasons behind them. Jerusalem was an extremely rich city due to all the people going there on pilgrimage so the ruler would become a very rich man like king Baldwin I did after the first crusade. so while people who fought in the battle were told that they fought for god the reason the armies were assembled was never directly religious although im sure there are exceptions to this some leaders might have truly thought this was for the holy land and for god but even the popes new this was not true.

Absolutely. I'm not an isolationist, but I am a noninterventionist. There are a lot of places where the U.S. shouldn't be right now, and the Middle East is one of them. So yes, I have no problem with Muslims telling us to get out. I just want to hear an unqualified "terrorism is wrong" message from Muslims once in a while. If they're saying it, they're not saying it loudly enough.

Curious how everyone is screaming for facts but when facts are given you want to personally attack people. And seems people keep pulling the race card but i haven't seen anyone attacking anyone's race.

 

The main problem is that people assume it is the religion of Islam that caused all the attacks. It is not the Muslims, but the extreme Muslims who have done the terrible acts on the US. That is what the difference is, and that is what is mostly forgotten by people. It is not the every day Muslim who attacked the US, but the extremist Muslims who attacked. In almost every religion you will have extremist of that religion, thus they create havoc on a person, place, or thing that will be against the beliefs of that religion, due to their interpretation of the words in their religious beliefs that are written in scriptures.

Now for Iraq, less Iraqies have died in this war, than the whole time Saddam Hussein was in power. So how can you say that things are not better now than when Saddam Hussein was in power?

I know that there will be no end soon to the inner struggle of the Islam religion between Sunni and Shi'ite, but that is something that maybe in time, will end that inner struggle due to their religious differences.
