  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Here's a fun picture. It appears that nobody has much interest in what Mike Pence and Cathy McMorris Rodgers have to say about health care reform today.:)

Have you read it Kimiko...no? :) thought so. Obama makes a last pitch effort right at the last hour and signs a piece of paper, oh wait an executive order stapled to the bill like countless other memos, that EO can be rescinded at any time, if they were sincere it would have been in the Bill. This all encompassing health care law... is this the will of the American people Kimiko? please tell me because from where I am standing it is not. They all said we have to pass it and then you'll find out what's in it??? My god the rats are dancing along with the pied piper!............sad.

Good to hear a sane and thoughtful voice in this debate. Instead of name calling and inflammatory rhetoric lets see what we can agree on and go from there. I think most of us can agree on some basic facts. I propose the following.

    1) The current health care system is broken and needed to be fixed.
    2) The fix implemented by the democrats is suspicious because it is hidden in a bill that is 2,700 pages long and hurried thorough congress without anyone really knowing what it says and what it means.
    3) Instead of condemning or accepting the whole bill, we should look at the individual components and after thoughtful debate, take a scapulae to the parts that are unacceptable and push to have them repealed.

Folks, this is going to affect us all and what is needed now is cool heads if we are going to fix the situation. Fighting amongst ourselves is not going to get anything done. Pick an item and state your position and a recommendation outlining how it could be fixed. I'll give an example.

The Abortion problem and health care.
That's not going to go away. Women are going to continue to get pregnant with unwanted babies but due to the abortion debate, there is no way the American tax payer is going to agree to pay for it. My proposed solution is that young women get their tubs tied and young men get vasectomies funded by health care reform. That would help lessen the problem and I think most american tax payer would agree to pay for it.

    What do you think?

This is nothing more than an extension of Medicare. When Medicare got passed Republicans thought it was the end of the world, but Medicare has become so popular that George W. Bush extended it.

I was glad and proud to see that half the democrats in Virginia didn't bite on the obozo bill, I guess free thought has not been completely stolen by the country's First Clown. I am also glad to see that 11 states so far are planning suit against the fed for the unlawful and non constitutionality of this un-American paper abortion. Even democrats are seeing the handwriting on the walls, their easy life is at risk if they do not listen to the people they represent.

    Right-wing fucktards, READ THE BILL:

    http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.pdf

Your conservative overlords are fucking with you. They are taking your deeply held beliefs and toying with them for their political gain. They're lying to you about abortion; they're lying to you about everything else. No one would vote for them if they told the truth.

This business about not being able to read the bill is just more kool-aid, my dear. Is there ANYTHING you won't believe if it's told to you by right-wing pundits?

The EO is meaningless, whether it stays in force or not. Because the law is the law, and the law did not change. There is no federal funding for abortion. I wish there was.

As far as this being the will of the people goes...time will tell.

Alright, evidently, Democrats fail to read to the reality of such things. Here is a quote from the actually executive order from Obama.

    Section 4. General Provisions.
    (a) Nothing in this Executive Order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect: (i) authority granted by law or presidential directive to an agency, or the head thereof; or (ii) functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
    (b) This Executive Order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
    (c) This Executive Order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity against the United States, its departments, agencies, entities, officers, employees or agents, or any other person.

    http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2010/...nned-executive-order-on-abortion/tab/article/

Now here is the complete text of the current Hyde amendment.

    http://www.nrlc.org/ahc/HydeAmendmentText.html

Where exactly do you see a section 10503 in it? There are only two sections included in the current Hyde amendment, section 507 and 508. But Obama is talking about section 10503 in the executive order.

The Act establishes a new Community Health Center (CHC) Fund within HHS, which provides additional Federal funds for the community health center program. Existing law prohibits these centers from using federal funds to provide abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), as a result of both the Hyde Amendment and longstanding regulations containing the Hyde language. Under the Act, the Hyde language shall apply to the authorization and appropriations of funds for Community Health Centers under section 10503 and all other relevant provisions. I hereby direct the Secretary of HHS to ensure that program administrators and recipients of Federal funds are aware of and comply with the limitations on abortion services imposed on CHCs by existing law. Such actions should include, but are not limited to, updating Grant Policy Statements that accompany CHC grants and issuing new interpretive rules.

    http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2010/...nned-executive-order-on-abortion/tab/article/

Now since when does an executive order trump a statutory law? I have yet to see an executive order override the decision in a statutory law.

And why is Obama talking about a section of the Hyde amendment which does not exist?

The last time Obama made an executive order was regarding interrogation laws. Now read what it states about executive orders.

On the other hand, Obama’s new policies are tentative both in the sense that they are non-statutory—accomplished through an executive order, not changes in the law itself—and in the sense that they may prove temporary. While the executive order creates a hard-line anti-coercion default policy for now, it also establishes a task force to study whether the CIA needs more flexibility in interrogation rules for the longer term. And Obama is free secretly to make exceptions to his order if ever a crisis arises in which he, like Bush, may consider coercion necessary.

    http://www.brookings.edu/papers/2009/0510_interrogation_law_wittes.aspx

Now how can you say that abortion will not be funded, if an executive order holds no weight over statutory law? How can you allow yourself to have wool pulled over your eyes? Here read for yourself.

    http://downloads.frcaction.org/EF/EF10C10.pdf

Now it is time to realize the truth of what is going on. Abortion will still be funded by taxpayers.

Your liberal ideology that mirrors Obama is like endearing to say the least.

Sweetie, you wouldn't know "liberal ideology" if it bit you. This bill is as Republican as you can get. No single payer. No public option. No universal coverage. Preserves the private insurance industry. It's the kind of bill Mitt Romney would be proud of, given that it's very close to what he got passed in Massachusetts.

But thank you for your concern, and enjoy the next seven years of Obama.

As a college student who is on his way to a six figure career, I hate in every way these kind of bills. Literally, right when I get out, when I'm still in college debt, much more of my money will have to be taken away...

Are you aware that you'll be taxed less than you would be in pretty much any other western industrialized nation?

Boo fucking hoo. You're not supposed to be taxed less if you make more money; it's common sense.

The only people who make a lot of money that should get tax breaks are the people using a lot of their money selflessly for a greater good.
