He did no such thing. He signed a Presidential Executive Order stating that the provisions do not apply. It's entirely worthless. An Executive Order cannot change a law enacted by Congress and signed by the president. The abortion provisions will be law when (if) the final bill is signed, and there is nothing to stop congress from acting on them.

You've just proven what I thought - the people who aren't upset are either a) out-and-out socialists, or b) too stupid to know what the law really means.

As has been discussed extensively in this thread - by folks who actually READ THE BILL - there is no public funding for abortion in this law. There are several explicit prohibitions on the public funding of abortion.

 

Sorry, dear, but you are simply wrong. The bill contains provisions for federal funding of abortions on demand for those covered under the program. Obama signed a worthless executive order stating those provisions will not apply. His order has no standing in law against the signed bill. If there never were any such provisions, why did a number of DEMOCRAT house members hold up action until they drank Obama's Kool-Aid?
