Jefferson loved the very working class/independent business owners you oppress, and he wanted them to have an equal chance to those who had been born into wealth or had better oppotunities/schooling. He would've without a doubt seen you as the very tyrants you claim to be standing up to, and would've embraced Obama and his administration.

He believed in a "hands off" government and you only believe in a "hands off me, put them on the lower classes" government.

Was he perfect? No, and neither were any of the other Founding Fathers, but he deserves more respect than to be so misrepresented.

 

Within the context of his time, Thomas Jefferson was on the left. He admired the French Revolution. Those on the right who quote him approvingly quote him out of context. He was opposed to aristocrats and the mercantile elite.
