If you had any respect for this country or the principles on which it was founded (which it seems you do not) I would see a sliver of proof in your posts but I don't, no worries. As the only self confessed former Rush Limbaugh republican here I feel that I have a special right to say that the people that are being identified as "conservative Republicans" are niether conservative nor Republican.They, much like the extreme liberal left are a bunch of inbread morons who follow the most hateful speach they can find because to hate makes them feel like they have power.Simple as that.Hate fuels thier egos and makes them feel like they make a difference.Most conservatives are far more balanced and reasonable than that.I support healthcare reform.Just not what we got in the current law.There is a desperate need for deep...and I mean DEEP regulation of the insurance industry as a whole.There is also a need for severe curbs to be placed uppon medical equipment manufacturers and pharmasuiticals.Any industry that is as important as these should be very carefuly watched and overseen by responsable people who have a vested interest in keeping it honest and clean.I have no problem with a company making a profit.But we have allowed Wall Street to line up with its hand out and loot the healthcare system while bankrupting those who need care.

Right wing republicans have forgotten something very important.They claim to be Christians...okay...lets go with that line of thinking.Do you realy think Jesus would say that its acceptable to charge a person so much money for desperately needed medical care that they are forced to loose thier home?Would Jesus agree with the idea of making health care so expensive that elderly people who arent wealthy are forced to live in nursing facilities that would make a Soviet gulag look like a vacation?Would Jesus agree with making needed medicine for a childs asthma so expensive that his parents are forced to use inefective over the counter drugs in a vain effort to ease the suffering of thier child because they cant afford better?

Jesus was very clear about his feelings about children...and he was also clear about what his feelings are towards those who cause a child to suffer.Crystal clear in fact.But these so called Christians have done everything in thier power to stop people from having decent and afordable access to the care they need.And they have done it to preserve profits for companies that use the money to pay huge dividends and bonuses so that people can buy bigger yachts.
