It depends on how one defines "freedom" and "liberty." Republicans see those terms through the eyes of employers and investors, even if they will never join that class, which of course most will not.

No I do understand what a world government is, which is why I say there's no chance it could ever be realised. How can you be so blinkered you can't see the cost involved even before a world-wide voting campaign could even begin to take place, if the whole world's population were to be given the same access to voting and campaigning as each other?

Firstly, you would need some way of letting everyone know. In every corner of the globe, including every hard to reach tribal encampment.
Secondly, you would need to educate them on the terms that would be used:
"Democracy" is as alien a word/concept to some people as "in your best interests".
Thirdly, further education would be needed, to ensure that the population as a whole could understand the legalities and wording used in campaigns.
Fourthly, making sure those that wanted to vote in countries where there was no electricity would be aware of campaign promises of those standing for election.
Fifthly, the building/repair of roads so that every single person who was eligible to vote had a means of reaching the ballot. Providing they had transport, of course.

I could go on, because the list is essentially endless, but I wanted to comment on a point you made earlier. That was that this utopian government would mean that people who have been wronged in the past could find a way to right those wrongs.

All you're basically saying there is, that this fantasy government would be so ensnared in righting the wrongs (and, in effect, creating their own set of wrongs on others), that they wouldn't actually be governing anything.

 

Whatever happened to being responsible for your own actions?

There is no such thing as "the white race". I have never said that there should be no taxes. Or that the government should provide some services. Utilites for some (though I believe utilities are better handled by the private sector) police, fire and the like. But no person should recieve money from the government just because and no one's money should be taken from them for that purpose.

I was responsible for my actions. I got caught and knew what the consequences were for what I did. I remember the day of my sentencing I was standing there in court as others were getting sentenced and every single one of them was making some excuse. "I wanted to help my poor starving mother." Or, "I wanted my kids to have nice things." Or, "I could not find work."

When the judge asked me to make a statement I said, "I had no reason to do what I did other than I got greedy. I have no excuses and take full responsibility for my actions. It is not that I didn't know any better, I knew better and did it anyway."

I was not innocent. But I stand by what I said in my previous post. If society is going to make something so illegal that they want to send someone to prison, they need to provide for those that are in there. If you are going to demand that people be sent to prison, you should not be made that taxes be paid to have them there.

You demand that health care be provided to everyone, you should pay for it. Me? I demand no such thing.

For a world government, there would need to be representatives of the people standing for election. Who else is going to better understand the needs of a particular culture than those people living within that culture already?

When one thinks about the immensity of what it would take to put together a world government, one needs to think outside the box to overcome the obstacles. Obviously, as neither you or Baller16 have been able to come up with workable solutions to the problems in question, I have to conclude that neither of you have a clue what you're talking about.

 

Look we all sort of signed on to this concept called democracy where the majority supposedly rules, by being a member of a country or government you agree to abide by their laws and decrees...otherwise you should move to another government cause your ass is about to go back to jail for fucking tax evasion dunce.
