Uniting against countries that refuse to submit to the great US bully is not exactly an intelligent thing to do. This new government would fit your ideal of a 'stupid government form'. Who is to say countries will jump at the occasion to unite with the states anyways? I would think the largest populations would sway the ranks in their favor. Greater population = greater numbered armies. But hey, perfect world scenario here; what would happen to the debts held by countries not a part of this new government? Communist China refuses to join the US and buys up the debt of other countries, forcing the states to secure its investment and bending their will in Chinese favor.

This isn't the smartest way to goad other countries into doing bidding, nor is it the most thought out way to obtain a world government working towards one future. Allow each country to govern itself without the involvement of other countries and see where that goes.

To give full disclosure I've read that booked and liked almost everything about it, but it's been years now. I've spent a good amount of time mulling over libertarianism on my own and having arguments with people and I still think it holds up.
