The Republican government of Spain was democratically elected by the Spanish people. When Franco lead a military revolt against it, that government asked the Western democracies for help. Only the Soviet Union offered help.

Franco was given more help by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. Do you wish those countries had won the Second World War?
