Why are Catholic Priest so oversexed? Some go for young boys while others go for young girls.?? Is it because they want what they are tokd they can't have??

 

There are some religious whackjobs around this site, maybe they can rationalize that fact of the priestly life.

They believe that sex isn't permitted in the church, but all that needs to be done is marriage. While married I believe the priest can have sexual congress as long as it is solely with the woman he married.

 

Catholic priests aren't allowed to marry. And between man and wife, the church teaches sex is for procreation, not recreation. That is why the Catholic church believes it is a sin to use birth control, let alone have an abortion.

 

To have children and to raise a family is an amazing thing. Children are so precious.

 

Freethinker is right. What's more, they're against condoms as well. Which is just as well, becuase we all know it feels better without one!

But back to the priests; its becoming increasingly rare that I don't get creeped out by them. I just get this ... vibe. I doubt some of them are truely there because its God's true calling for them. Which leads me to believe that there are some ulterior motives.

 

I am not Catholic but a lot of my family is. The whole priest thing is an old problem on the indian reservation where my dad is from the priest knocked up like 7 teens and a few wives during "comunion service". Back to present day sadly I think it is a crime of convienance you can't have sex get horny and what is close by? Alter boys but to quote south park the churches stance is "How do we stop theese boys from talking?". I say cut thier balls off for fucking up a real trust someone is to have with an authority figure. HAPPY EASTER

 

Catholicism is a very sexual religion. Think about you take the body of Christ into your mouth, Jesus is always half naked on the cross, and everything is about love. I'm a catholic so I know.

 

I think its pretty easy to work out why...try going without sex/masturbating for 30+ years, then find yourself horny and alown in a church with a vunerable young kid and with the knowlege that the pope will do pretty much anything to cover up what you do....

 

The Catholic church needs to lighten up and stop indoctrinating their followers with so much fake and contrived rules for life from the Bible.

I personally don't see why churches are eligible for tax exemptions They are kept alive by donations and their freedom from taxation of what they profit, in order to widen their benefits spectrum.

 

I personally resent the fact that everyone and their mother believes that catholic priests are rapists.

I am catholic, and have been my entire life. Those who abuse children are in the small minority of our religion. Its becoming a stereotype so most of you are exhibiting some form of ignorance bias. You only notice those who conform to your warped vision of the catholic clergy and not to the great people who make up 99% of us.

I don't walk around slamming your religion, calling your guidelines to live "fake" or "contrived". Who are you to say that your religion is any more correct than mine? We live by rules that we believe will bring us closer to God. None of those rules are absurd or irrational, and regardless of what you think about the "ulterior motives", I can assure you that we are not some brainwashed herd of cattle. We think individually, and if we recognized that something was so far out there that it required doubt, then we would doubt, and we would question. Blind belief doesn't bring you closer to God. Questioning faith and finding your answer in Him does.

Your idea that the Catholic Church is "oversexed" is repugnant, offensive, and a misinterpretation of some people's decisions to sacrifice sex to live a life of worship.

 

I think it's pretty obvious that statistically it's only a small percentage. People just get carried away with stereotypes as with any stereotype. Kind of a hard image to shake unfortunately. I wouldn't be caught dead in a church myself but it's too bad that a religion such as that gets such a bad rap when other religions like the jw and lds are bordering upon cult like and no one really says anything.

 

There are alot of priests that arent pedophiles but they dont make headlines very interesting.Besides that there are issues in ALL religions regarding sexuality and preadatory behavior.The Catholics have issues but so do Protestants and LDS and Jehovahs Witnesses...As well as school teachers and police officers and a host of other people in positions of trust.There is something intoxicating about power and trust that overwhelms some peoples ability to resist temptation.Or they find the prospect of illicit sex simply too much to resist.The Catholic church has been in the cross hairs in large part because they are also a ploiticaly active and frankly much disliked entity in the political arena.Teachers have major issues and so do cops.Doctors have been in the news alot lately as well but not to the same degree as priests.But its just as common there.The church however is the low hanging fruit because of the stated morals of the church regarding sex, abortion and homosexuality as well as a host of other issues that people disagree with and can parade out and say "look what they did!"

 

WAKE UP

Why I start this sis because I have a young friend who has been with a Catholic priest 3 times over the easter week-end and this lad 19 is not a catholic, but enjoys the sex from this priest and others.. It annoys me that they carry on with their church and have gay sexual relationships with young boys,, I feel it is so bad bad here .. They even now have a gay catholic church where they meet and encourage young boy to have sex... Don't tell me it sdosn't happen ,, This boy often sleeps with the priest now instaed of going home, and they sleep together, and the priest has now asked him if they can have a 3som or 4som woith other priests................................

 

Uh.Religion ? Seriously ? Religion is needed to hold the public together,to give it something to believe in and put a blame on everything that is wrong.You say you follow rules that you think bring you closer to god.Which one ? Are you aware that Jew's,Christian's and Muslim's have basically the same holy book ? Christianity sprang from Judism (Jew's religion not sure how it is spelled in english) and then later in the 6th century when nothing was holding the Arabian world together ( Except for an annual trip to Meka ),it was clear religion was needed.And thus Islam was created.If anybody has read the holy Quran and the Bible would know its the same think.The Quran is written in poetic form and as a work of poetry is a spectacular achievement .Names of Angels,Archangels and such are only slightly changed.The six major prophets of Islam are the following :
(get this) Adam,Noah,Abraham,Moses (sound familiar thus far ? ) annnnnnd Jesus ! But of course the last and truest of them all is Muhammad.

Enough of this,but truly I could not restrain myself from writing all this.I still find it hard to believe that anybody would do something only on blind fate and not use theirs respective head's to do some thinking rather then relay on faith.And just so I am reminded of one of my favorite books and here is a little quote for you :

And I don't even want to get started how religion has been the cause for so much useless "justified" killing and wars.

 

I'm not a religious person... but....why pick on the catholics!!....plenty of others from different religions/organisations/society generally have been guilty of the same breach of trust

Why I started this, was because a young guy, who was with me in a relationship was taken from me by a Catholic Priest..who had him all over Christmas ,, Then Sydney Gay MardiGra,, and now again 4 days out of 6 over Easter, and I'm supposed to sit back as if nothing happened,, The priest knew we were in a relationship and he has a boyfriend,, BUT WHAT catholic priest want they just take,, So dose the catholic church in general..

 

Ahhh the "church"... not much religion in it after all.

i think a lot of people have it all wrong. it's not just a sex thing, a lot of it is abuse over the years, including a lot of nun,s, but we don't hear what this abuse is. it would be more honest if the law and the new's would enlighten us as to what this abuse entailed. jmc113

 

Just like anybody, if you have been told something is bad for you all your life and that message is shoveled down your throat everyday. But you see everyone else doing it and having fun. Of course you are going to want to try it and make up for all the time lost. Sex is like crack to them. I suppose.
