  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

. . . rather than knee-jerking in response to an editorial viewpoint of this research, y'all might want to review the source data first  Then, perhaps a share of your distrust could go towards the media that spouts the sifted info and presents it to you exactly as you'd like it to be, no challenges to your dogma, thank you very much ;)

By "business community", do you mean the guy who fixes your brakes down at the local gas station? And the fellow in the nearest deli - is he out to get you? How about the woman that does landscaping in your town, she's a greedy scoundrel, right? Since these folks make up the vast majority of the business "community", your irrational fear of them would be comical if it wasn't psychotic.

Yes, but the IRS isn't to blame for laws/policies you disagree with. They're just doing their job. Personally, I hope they do it well, because the last thing I want is for other people to get away with cheating on their taxes.

80+% of the jobs in this country are provided by small businesses and companies numbering fewer than two hundred employees.Yet somehow thier collective profits are less than those of the publicly traded companies on Wall Street...h,,,how does that work?

Oh....yeah...the IRS...thats true...they are just enforcing the policies put forth by congress.congress makes the tax code and the IRS does thier job by enforcing it.Of course the IRS is also the largest non-military entity in the entire federal government, numbering over 800,000 people so they do in fact have considerable influence over those policies when they are being made.

I never thought that they were to blame, for anything. It's just... they're on the front lines, so they're easy targets. Personally, I applaud anyone who manages to "cheat" on their taxes (as long as they're not actually committing fraud). Fuck the government! Down with the Man!

Where did you get THAT number? The only source I could find said that the IRS employs about 100,000 people.

    Here's a couple of reasons . . .

A publicly traded company is deeply incentivized to record profit and growth - it's really the only way for them to attract and keep long-term capital investment (in the form of a rising stock value or a high ratio of purchase of their corporate bonds). There are more than a few examples of these companies puffing up their numbers to the point of fraud (WorldCom, anyone?)

A smaller, private company is taxed pretty heavily if they are profitable - & depending on their corporate structure, even double-taxed . . . so, they have an incentive to bury profitability in a mountain of expenses. The IRS plays hide-and-seek with small-to-midsize businesses much more often than they do with the big boys.

I wanted to mention the tax penalty to small companies. The current tax structure is downright un-American. Fucking Congress...

here are some interesting numbers(and a link so you can see for yourself:))
    http://www.data360.org/dsg.aspx?Data_Set_Group_Id=228

local government employees total as of 2006-11,885,000
state government employees total as of 2006- 5,128,000
federal government emplyees total as of 2006-2,721,000

Total overall number of people employed by government as of 2006-19,734,000

Average salery for a federal employee is-$79,197
Average salery for a state and local employee nationaly is-$45,173

    The average all three is-$62,185
Multiplied by 19,734,000 people is....drum roll please...

$1,227,158,790,000...or roughly a third of the federal buget of three point five trillion dollars.

This doesnt include benefits, office space, phone lines, toilet paper, motorpool, travel costs, equipment or sunglasses.Yes...sun glasses. In the 80's the local office of the FBI in Seattle ordered 200 pairs of aviator style Raybans at $80.00 a pair for a total of forty odd people only a few of whom were actual field agents.

I just wanted to spew this out there for your entertainment.:)

The trend is much stronger towards LLCs here in the US, the S-Corp is a great form of business ownership, but a tad too complicated for sole proprietors that want the protection of a corporate structure.

But I'll save the rant about tort reform for another thread :p

Reading is fundamental. I have never, and will never, defend any of the "big boys". How you could possibly think that I have ever defended anyone considered to be "big" is beyond me.

LOL...I had the first 0ne in my favs because a young man I know was talking about starting a corp and I told him he should look at a LLC and I sent him a link.....

I have been dealing with Corp...40 years and I am just more familiar with them....if I was a sole proprietorship and wanted to limit liability I would probably go with a LLC......I like the formality of the Reg Corp especially when I decide to sell it...( play a lot of fun games with the stock also)..
    reverse merger into otcbb....
