There are a lot of guys who scam the site by posing as women (or women who try to scam the site by posting pics of other women). They'll rip off a few random pics from some other porn site and post them claiming it's them. That's why the 'verified female' thread was set up, where one is supposed to pose with a sign with their id name on it in the pic. That can be scammed as well, though. So no, most of the guys who insist on verification pics aren't being mean, they just don't want to end up exchanging sexy chat or cybering with another guy.

The ones that are on the thread clamoring for you to send them independent verification pics are just being assholes. It's all pretty stupid, really, though it's a shame you can never really be sure someone is who they say they are here.
