As parents (both fathers and moms) you bathed your babies regularly. Then at some point you started letting them take a bath with you. The question is at what point or age did you or the child decide it was time for them to not bathe with you anymore?

Many years ago I married a girl that had 3 children, the oldest child was a girl and 6 years old. She loved taking a bath with me. Then one day she noticed the difference in our private areas. She ask why were we different down there. Well needless to say her Mom and I decided it was time to stop letting her bathe with me.

What are your thoughts and ideas on this?

 

In my opinion, adult bath time and baby/child bath time are (and should be) seperate. I've bathed children but never bathed with them.

I do want to point out that I see nothing wrong with a parent and a baby bathing together. But in my mind, a baby would be up to about a year.

 

I have to admit that I'm way to much of a horny fuck to bath with a 6 yo girl. I would have had a hard on in the tub. And I'm sure if I had been in your situation I would have had her stroke my cock till I came.
Which is why I don't get myself into those kind of situations!

 

And by the way. The first time I ever came was in the bath tub with my mother. It's a long story that I have told here before.

 

I shower with my son still, but then he is only 4. I hadn't really thought about when i should stop...

 

My wife and I both bathe with our kids. We have a boy and a girl. The girl is 8 and the boy is 6. We live in a one bathroom house so we can't lock the doors to the bathroom, sure as we do the kids will need to use it. Usually one of us will be taking a shower and one of the kids will come in join us. So far none of the kids have asked questions about the difference in our bodies, but I am sure some day that will happen. At that time I suppose me and the misses will have to decide what to do. Until then I guess it is business as usual.

 

I never bathed with my daughter. I have bathed with my son a couple times, he's almost 3 now though so I think those days are over.

 

I have 3 kids, but my oldest is 13 and my middle child is 7 now. She was 3 when her brother was born. When she was about 4 1/2 I started giving them baths together because it was just easier (we also have only 1 bathroom so getting 5 people bathed everynight is kinda like an assembly line). She noticed that they were not the same and I explained to her that she was a girl and had one part and he was a boy and had another part. She immediately got the connection and said something like, "So I'm a girl like you and my brother is boy like Daddy." Exactly. She hasn't brought it up since. They are now ages 7 and 4 and they will occassionally bathe together. My husband and I have always been very open about our bodies and answered questions with answers according to the child's age. We don't parade around naked all the time but if one of the kids walk in on us in the nude we don't freak out and cover up and tell them to get out. My parents were like that I had a complex about sex and sexuality up until I was 30. I would have to say that our general rule is that once they start asking a lot of questions and staring at the private areas all the time then it is time to start letting them bathe on their own. One down, two to go.

 

I don't wear clothes unless I can help it I can't see that changing in the future its just the way I am. I don't have children now but wouldn't see anything wrong with bathing with them until they either become uncomfortable with it or started puberty whichever came first.

 

I would say up to 2-3 is just fine after that to each there own

We bathed with our kids until they were about 4. Now, which is very rare, we only do father/son or mother/daughter showers. Our kids started asking questions early which made us uncomfortable. For them it's probably just fine, since they don't know what the big deal is. But when I noticed my daughter staring at my stuff, that was the end for me.

 

man i think your too worried about it. i dont bathe with mine, they are all teens now, but hell i was batheing with my dad and a whole bunch of grown men in health clubs and shit like that. i guess it just wasnt a big deal. in many cultures its completely natural to be nude with your family for whatever reason. naturlists are like that here now. these people dont seem to have half the sexual issues us "normal" people do. if its your thing roll with it

We stopped bathing with our daughter when she was 4, but even when she was a teenager, we would all swim in the nude in our pool.

 

Let me start by saying we are nudists. At home, at the beach, at resorts. So taking showers together is as natural and comfortable as anything else. Its only the screwed up, up tight, misplaced sexuality in america that makes it wrong. We DO "prance" around naked in front of the kids and NO question they ask makes us uncomfortable. We answer them all in as much detail as they want as should everybody. Not knowing those answers,not knowing about their bodies, and thinking sex is bad and perverted is one huge problem in this fine country.

So in our house there is no age limit for showers together, The choice is of course theirs.

 

What the heck are you talking about? They NEVER took a bath (or a shower) with me. There is absolutely no reason for something like that.

 

I take a bath with my BABY, just because it is a fun and cuddly time.

 

Firstly, babies are innocent beings! We impose our fears and hang ups upon them. Second they can't bathe alone until they are at least 5/6 and then you need to still keep the door ajar and listen just in case they slip or other problems arise!! For instance they still need help to wash hair etc!

Most regular moms do bathe with toddlers because it is the easiest way for them to get a bath in to a busy day, plus it is great bonding. Dads/ moms might not bath w/ a daughter/son after about 3/4 but that's just because questions about daddy's thing etc. do start.
