WASHING THE KID'S

Well when my then girl / friend moved into my house ; she had a 1.5 year old daughter !! I would take a bath with her & then rince in the shower , till she was about 4 !! Then I would still run bath and let her get in and later come back wash her hair & if extra dirty as kids get wash her all over till about 5 ; by six or so usely her mom took care of stuff after ..

 

My son and I always bathed together...it was quicker and easier.

I have two boys and I bathed with them until they got large enough that it was crowded either in the tub or shower. We do not typically run around the house nude but we do not make any big deal out of it either. My wife and I either one will go through the house nude if we need to get something and do not happen to have any cloths on. The 7 year old loves being nude and will sometimes spend most of the day without a stitch and the oldest one is occasionally nude.
In my opinion, too much is made of nudity. Making too big of a deal of it leads to hangups that inflict too many people in our society.

 

OK, why is there something wrong with me? If I don't put my self into situations that I might do bad things, somethings wrong with me? Or is it that I have a hard on for at least 12 hours a day and that means somethings wrong with me? If it's just me that somethings wrong with then it must be OK and normal for any other man to bath with his 6 YO?

I grew up seeing everyone nude. We didn't bath together pass about age 5 but nudity was not taboo in my house.

 

I don't think it has be to a decision taken by parents or children alone, but by the family as a whole. If the young one wants to continue this bonding moment, and the parent involved feels comfortable enough, I don't see any problem.

IMHO, it's important to stimulate communication. The child must feel comfortable enough to let us know when he/she wants more privacy. Keeping an open channel for such dialog is the key.

 

I would never bathe with a child of any age, I have no reason too, giving an infant or a small child that can't bathe thereself's is different. But when they can without me worrieing about them, then Im outta there.

 

I don't think I ever bathed WITH my two boys, but they loved bathing together up to about school age - the idea makes them cringe now! We lived with my father in law so I didn't walk around naked anyway. We are all comfortable appearing in a bath towel however, and they are 22 and 19 now.

 

Wow! This is SO weird! I was an only child and my dad was always away with his work, usually for months or more at a time. He was a very good provider but just rarely around when I was a young boy. My mom and I often took bathes together until I was 11 y/o. She also allowed me to "dry nurse" on her breasts. I knew it was weird but I also knew I liked it. My mom always told me that this was "our little secret". As I got a little older it became more sexual I guess. There certainly was never any oral/genital contact or any genital penetration but there was digital stimulation. My mom put a stop to it when I was 11. I'm sure she must have felt very guilty about it so she put a stop to it. I remember hating that it stopped but I got over it. My mom and I still have a great relationship today but we never mention what went on between us when I was a young boy. I'm in my mid 30's and married now and well adjusted I guess. I did however go through a period of a few years when I was a young boy, 11 to 15 y/o, that I could have very well ended up gay...but I didn't. I would do sexual favors for a few other boys but I grew out of it when I was around 15.

 

Well here in Europe alot of famillies go to the saunas with their whole familly. These Saunas are coed nude so the children are used to seeing the family naked. Even famillies that don't go the saunas tend to use the same changing rooms at the pool and such. So taking bath together is no big deal.

Let's spread this out a bit.

I think that up to about age 4 it is okay for either sex to bathe/shower together in a non-nudist family.

Beyond that age, I think it should be same sex bathing together only no matter what the age.

I am damn near 60 so my perspective still has SOME of the old fashioned values from the last century.

I never saw my mother without clothing after the age of 3.

Never should the questions of children, no matter how uncomfortable, be answered with trepidation or lies. Get their little heads in the right place from the beginning, not that it is 'dirty' or 'wrong' but instead a respectful thing to clothe oneself in front of others.

 

Dont those 'values' stop you from coming here??????????

 

I showered with my dad last week. We'd played racquetball together.

 

I Don't think there is any problem with it to any age as long as they actually want to be there and there is nothing sexual about it.
