Every American has a voice on the subject. Without a voice we would have lost all our liberties long ago. Freedom of expression is essential in enabling democracy to work and public participation in decision-making. One of our biggest problems is that our government wants to act as if it were still 1945, and that we control the entire world, when in reality we cannot even take of our own people, let alone feed and house the entire world. Once again big government and big business, hand in hand like always, doesn't matter which party, a thief is a thief!

This isn't exactly a hate group. This is curriculum designed by an elected board, and I'm sure is based off a nationally published textbook. I know that's not a great argument: ie Kansas, but at least it shows it's not extreme. The Kansas creationist nonsense wasn't "extreme" other, it was just incorrect to be teaching in Bio class.

I've seen a couple Arizona talking heads on the TV today that are saying this and that, but they're all sponsors of their bill. There's no evidence that they're teaching hate in these classes.

Your statement about the American Civil War and the foolish law in Arizona have something in common--shining examples of how poorly history is taught in American schools.

Arizona is a convenient whipping boy with this law, and I suppose it is very fashionable to decry Arizona as racist, but name calling is hardly any way to address an issue. Branding Arizona as racist reminds me of those who are reduced to mindless personal attacks upon those who disagree with their views like RandomUserName on this thread.
