It's the rank hypocrisy that drives me up the wall, frankly. Yesterday I was watching an interview with Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle, who is a typical tea-party candidate...and she was ranting about government intrusion in the lives of everyday Americans, and then, in the same breath, talking about how abortion should be outlawed, even in cases of rape or incest.

Then she had the gall to say that Roe v. Wade represented government intrusion by the Supreme Court, by NOT prohibiting women from having an abortion. Say what?

It's like the people railing against "socialized medicine", but pretending Medicare was something other than that, something that must be defended.

 

I actually think a parliamentary system would do quite a bit towards alleviating the polarization we have in the U.S. these days. Third parties here are marginalized the the point of nonexistence.

But it isn't gonna happen.

 

In most countries the only country that matters is right here in america we cant let other countries pick who gets two lead us. I do not like Obama i dont understand all the sheepoel who fallow him blind over the edge. To point out the fact that he has higher approval ratings then Bush is like pointing out that some people prefer a Shit sandwich over a giant douche bag. I wish people would start thinking for them selfs and stop repeating every thing they hear on MSnbc and CNN.

I support all third party's any thing to keep me from voting for some one i do not like we need more choice.

 

Then get off your lazy fat ass and go to a caucus and do your time and earn the right to have a say in who the parties nominate.

First off FAT do you even know me use more of that brain of yours be four you make a post. Second the hole point of voting 3rd party is not seeing eye two eye with the ideas of the other two party's. So there for having a different nominee would be pointless if you do not like what the party stands for. Thus proves my point in voting 3rd party witch is my right.

 

Then join the party, caucus and change their platform. Persuade people that your ideas are better than others. That's how democracy works. Stop looking to others (third parties) to do your work for you.

Yep it is certainly a much better system, this year I voted for the third party in this constituency but he lost to the labour party member Steve McCabe, who actually knocked my door as he was doing a door to door walk through the area, he turned out to be such a nice guy and appeared to be genuinely interested in my views, now I feel guilty for not voting for him.
