  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Could be that I am doing something to attract them. Like maybe answering their inane questions that are totally off topic. Or perhaps I am suffering the fools until they expose themselves for what they are.

This guy is a classic troll, he could be the poster child.

BTW, I do not consider you to be a troll, that would be an elevated title.

Well the Tea Party is taking another hit in a state they can't afford to lose after all their backing of Rand Paul down there in Kentucky. It seems Paul has been allowing the mistaken impression he graduated with a BA from Baylor University to go uncorrected. And of course his campaign denied they even knew anything about the mistake and if they had they would have corrected it.

And just as of course, of course, it didn't take but a day or two for his Democratic opponent Attorney General Jack Conway to come up with video of Paul sitting through an interview with the Louisville Courier Journal editorial board in which his bio was read to him as follows:

"Dr. Paul is the chairman and founder of Kentucky Taxpayers United. A native of Pennsylvania he is a graduate of Baylor University and the Duke University School of Medicine."

Man, I'm telling you it looks like the Tea Party has hell with that "truth" thing.

The Tea Party caters to people that are politically paranoid.

They are supicious, believe in conspiracies, and exxagerate.

No good can come from such an unstable movement that is based upon fantasy.

I am not a Tea Party member, would think of joining.

But that description is classic stereotyping. It can reasonably assumed that all such political parties have people who fit that mold. Whenever a new political movement or party is formed, it attracts those who do not fit in elsewhere, it also attracts unbelievable attacks from the established parties.

With the sensational journalism that is so prevalent today, one would expect to hear nothing but detractors to any new political movement.

What you just posted is evidence of that jaded viewpoint. It is very likely that the Tea Party will go the way of the Nader "Green Party" and the Perot "Reform Party" did. Started by good ideas, hijacked by fringe players and vilified by the established parties.

But they both served a purpose, as I believe the Tea Party will, if only to direct the focus on the absurdity of the political games in the US.

Here's a couple things I thought I should alert Ace and the other conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers about.

One, if everyone agrees its money that actually talks and wins elections in politics then this is not good news. For all their bluster the GOP apparently is short on cash.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0810/40772.html

Which reminds me I need to donate to the DNC again.

And then just for you Ace, here's a conservative activist trying to ask the people at Media Matters to tell him what if feels like to work for George Soros.

You might want to watch this one, Ace. I think you guys need a little work.

And the politicians are the best at standing tall and using principles to make their life altering decisions. This is probably one of the most ignorant comments I've ever seen you write, you have no idea what the TEA PARTY represents, or will ever be able to understand it. Politicians are worse than lawyers, the most unrespected profession in the world.

Ok well glad to hear that. It always bothered me that almost inevitably the party that spent the most money won the elections. I'd be glad to see that changing even if we on the left are now outspending you guys on the right.

Well Ace I sure didn't see the conservative activist establish any connection to Soros. Did you?

And what are you going to show me next for a source, Ace? Prison Planet of some shit like that. You're losing contact with the mother ship I swear Ace.

The other established parties, including the republicans, are more realistic than the Tea Party. Many of their members are indeed in fantasy land.

    Some examples:

    their undying belief that...

    1) President Obama was not born in the USA

    2) global warming is not real in spite of what the majority of qualified climatoligists are saying and what objective taken temperature data shows

    3) the solution to energy is to continually drill for oil, forever. Renewable energy will NEVER work.

    4) someone stole "their country" away instead of admitting that our officials were voted into their positions

    5) The taxes we pay are without representation or benefit to them

    6) any new or progressive idea for health care will not work and shouldn't even be considered

    7) unemployed people are stealing from the system and probably wouldn't mind collecting unemployment forever, instead of working

I could continue, but why bother... :p

    Tea Party a problem ???

We are on the brink of collapse, financially and economy. still spending with no money to back it. Obama's promise of tranparent change is 'here'.
We are on the road to SOCIALISM as directed by Obama and the Dems in the Whitehouse. Transparent ??? where was it when the health care bill was SHOVED down the throats of the American people ??? All done by Dems behind closed doors. Hard to see thru closed doors unless you are a liberal, and they could care less..............Thank God for November.....

First let me correct a typo/omission in my post that you replied to:"I am not a Tea Party member, would think of joining."
I left out a keyword, "not", it should have said "...would not think of joining."

Now to the point(s) of your reply.

Everything you stated is true, but is not restricted to only the members of the Tea Party, if you look at the polls on the points that you raised, most have a reasonably high rate of acceptance by polled people.

First: "1) President Obama was not born in the USA"
Recent CNN poll shows that only 85% of Democrats are sure or fairly sure that he was born in the US, that means that 15% aren't sure that he was. You give no numbers on how the Tea Party member feel. Nationally only 42% in the CNN poll were sure or fairly sure on the question.

Second: "2) global warming is not real in spite of what the majority of qualified climatoligists are saying and what objective taken temperature data shows"
In a very recent Rasmussen Report, 45% of those polled think that GW is primarily caused by natural effects and not necessarily man made causes.

Third: "3) the solution to energy is to continually drill for oil, forever. Renewable energy will NEVER work."
Try as I might, I can find no credible source for your claim(s), no Tea Party member has gone on record to support what you say.

Fourth: "someone stole "their country" away instead of admitting that our officials were voted into their positions"
Again either you are being creative or you are finding things in sources other than those reported on the internet. After a diligent search, I can find no Tea Party member who says that we do not elect our officials.

Fifth: "The taxes we pay are without representation or benefit to them"
Over half of the US taxpayers feel that their taxes are too high. According to Gallop, a poll reported that in 2009, people survey felt that 50 cents of every dollar spent by the federal government was wasted.

Sixth: "any new or progressive idea for health care will not work and shouldn't even be considered"
Another new Rasmussen Reports finds that 57% of likely voters think the health care bill should be repealed because it is bad for the country.

Seventh: "unemployed people are stealing from the system and probably wouldn't mind collecting unemployment forever, instead of working"
There is no doubt that extending unemployment benefits yet again has a chilling effect on future employment for many job seekers. A strange but very predictable result is that a huge increase in early retirement SSI claims have been filed. The claim that unemployment dollars create $1.60 in the economy has been thoroughly debunked.

My point in this post is to show you that the points that you raised do not just originate from the Tea Party members but from a very high percentage of the US public.
