I agree with you (mostly)!! I really know little about shake other than he isn't being a mature person and not willing to quite arguing with deidre!! I don't argue with my 5 year old niece who thinks she knows everything and doesn't either!! At some point you just have to realize you'll never get through to some people and stop fight (be the mature one).

Like I said, don't know much about him, but I don't think the signature is appropriate for a Moderator and for that reason I don't think he should NOT be one (but what do I know I'm just a newbie)

I don't think Deidre should of said those things either, but I find it more offensive that a MODERATOR would immortalize her words in his signature!!!

You have noticed me to a degree that you know I criticized Deidre??? Also the fact that you would search my posts, to dig up something (dirt) that I really don't remember saying shows an ability to abuse your powers in order to work for your own agenda!! (which scares me the most)

Frankly I don't care what you said to her or she said to you, but you do or else it wouldn't be in your signature!!!

 

I've said several times that those lines in my sig are not actually there for Deidre, they are there for DL. I like to remind him every time he talks about how much I'm the worst and most hateful member on this forum that actually I have never said anything near as bad as his sweetheart. That Deidre gets so agitated by them (while at the same time professing to be proud of them) is a bonus.

I'll ask you a question along the same lines as I did Emily: Have you ever spent this much time criticizing Deirdre for saying things like that?

It was there for months and months before I became a moderator. It will stay until I get bored with it or, as I said, Deidre apologizes for saying she wants to slit my throat and play in my blood.

I can honestly say that I have never noticed you before. I have no idea your posting habits or who you associate with. I can also honestly say I don't care. It also appears that you aren't too bright, either. Anyone can search your post history. You see that search option on the top menu bar? Or, if you go to someone's profile you can find a link to 'find all posts by member' or 'find all threads started by member' or something like that. I don't need to be a mod to dig through your post history. Feel free to dig through mine, if you like.

However, I'm not going to go looking at your posts, I don't care. I asked you a rhetorical question, you just didn't seem to get it. I was making a point. You're all upset that I'm pointing out things Deidre has said and said he was proud of. You are, in essence, shooting the messenger. If Deidre apologizes for stating that she'd gladly slit my throat, I'll remove it. I don't think that's an unreasonable request.

I have not spent ANY time criticizing her, as far as I am aware. Also, I have had almost ZERO contact with her, period. I have replied to only ONE of her comments ever (or it may be that she replied to mine, i can not recall). Diedre and I simply DO NOT EVER communicate (outside that ONE time).

In the recent thread concerning Diedre's like-ability, I was SPECIFICALLY non-committal. I have two people I Like on the forum, Budgreene and Ilion.



So... Again, i think this is the third time I have said this... I am only criticizing your skill in moderation, which (again) I think are extremely lacking. I have made every effort to concentrate my criticizm on your mod-skill set. Why this would cause you to ask me about my history of critizing Deidre is distressing.

Again, I would ask you to act as if you were an impartial moderator and act on your words. I don't care who you are trying to irritate.

You are a new voice here, which I think is needed. And I want to again let you know that I agree with all you say in this statement.

When SZ refuses to remove the quotes, he gives credense to my critizism and your claim of immaturity. WE could only hope that SZ would take his own words to heart, and that he PLEASE consider the (so far) fine works of Chunky and Piggit and try to show his respect to them by rising above.

When I click the Find all Post button I can only see the last 500 post, I have a feeling as a moderator you can see all 20,000 + of my post, but I don't know what for a fact!!!

All I'm saying it that as a MODERATOR you shouldn't single out one member and that should be removed as a requirement of the position, that or give up the position!! You're the one getting all excited about my opinion!

 

Why? Because if you understand what the mod's job is, you should realize that it actually doesn't concern Deidre or anything he says. His behavior is outside my authority to regulate so my personal feelings are irrelevant. Unless Deidre starts spamming or posting kiddie porn he will never pop up on my 'mod radar'. It doesn't matter to my job as mod how much I like or dislike any other poster. I don't moderate individual behavior in a discussion. My primary purpose as a mod is to keep the forum free of spam, take care of the spammers and redirect threads to their appropriate homes.

Care to explain what my personal feelings have to do with that? You think because I may not like deidre that I will have trouble recognizing and deleting a spammer? You think I will somehow confuse deidre as a spammer and accidentally ban him in a cloud of rage?

If you think it's just untoward for a mod to have a side chosen on a particular issue, I'm sorry but that's just not realistic. As piggit pointed out, we are posters first, moderators second. I can still post my heart out in the same fashion I always have. I don't have to start checking my beliefs and biases at the door, now. If that was a requirement, I wouldn't have taken the job. I'm not here just to watch and observe, I'm here to discuss and share opinions, just as you all are.

In my opinion, DL needs his little wet nose rubbed in the fact that his master is a bloody violent psychopath. Or at least the persona he puts forward is.

This is supposed to be an adult arena, if you can't back up what you say or take adult critism you should not be here.

If you expect to go whining to a Mod every time you feel Butt-hurt that is just a reflection of your own immaturity.

The Moderators "Job" is a different one on XNXX, spammers will be their target, Illegal images, purely racist posts, stuff like that.

And, believe it or not, I would still tell you that you were wrong to criticize her for her thoughts. As a mod. We are still allowed to have personal feelings and opinions. We can be as biased as we like towards one poster or another because we are not here to moderate behavior of individual posters. No matter how much I disagree with whomever, as I mod I am powerless to do anything about it. My personal feelings have no bearing on my mod responsibilities.

It's the same for us. That doesn't mean those posts can't be found, but to do that we'd have to actually start reading entire threads looking for your posts and such a thing is not practical. If I want to search your posts directly from your profile, I have the same 500 you do.

All I'm saying that, in respect to this forum, you're wrong. I can maintain my same behavior, my same style, and still perform my mod duties and you will never notice the difference.

You raise some good points, I confess. Moderators on this forum do little. Perhaps I was expecting more than the near-absolute worst. And perhaps the overall level of professionalism I expected, and was used to in Chunky and Piggit, is not required, thus you were made a moderator.

With my moderate expectations now in ruins, I will let you get along with your duties.

 

I agree with you on this, I guess I expected the Mods to be the more level headed and mature people of the forum, the ones that should be looked up to as good people!!!

 

In carrying out my duties as a mod, I will do so with absolute professionalism. In posting my thoughts and opinions, I will continue to do so as I've always done. They are too separate roles that do not intermingle. So if you didn't have a problem with my signature before last week then it shouldn't bother you now. This idea of an emotionless and stoic mod is one you have created in your own mind and, as such, the problem lies in your preconceived notions of what a mod 'should be'. Perhaps other forums have such requirements. This one doesn't. This forum allows us to maintain our posting styles and still mod.

Chunky will be the first to tell you that he doesn't get down in the muck with the rest of us, not because he's a mod, but just because it bores him.

Except deidre is a special kind of idiot that tends to drive even those of us who are nominally on her side to go looking for the duct tape to shut her up. Shake's constant reminders of this fact actually help promote intelligence across the board - if you don't want people to think you're an idiot, don't talk like one.

Also, has been pointed out, mods here don't care what we do to each other - go read any of the many and long winded political debates of which there are many. We scream, we curse, we use pink fonts! To the death of censorship, and let every man and woman be known for their own deeds!
