But that Aryan Nation neo-Nazi kid was something wasn't he? Fuck, what a gifted and computer savvy trouble making race baiting fucker he was. And he had the run of the place just inside the rules for months it seems like. Until that one night when he just started reprinting the same message on multiple threads.

Some of us even tried to warn him he was spamming the threads but he just kept going and Chunky already had the cross hairs on his head.

A shame in a way you know. He was really pretty bright if that could have been turned to something besides hate. And if just for that I bet Chunky wished he didn't have to do it.

And these kids don't know controversy. How about a persona that made Chunky ban him on one persona and ended up being a mod anyway? Can't prove that one of course but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Apology or not, it is quite disconcerting to see power placed in the hands of someone with an unchecked temper.

Example: "Oh, I'm so sorry I pressed the button to start a nuclear war---I was just having a bad day. I'm better now."


This is why I would NEVER want to be a Mod---because I know that sometimes people can get to me and I fly off the handle. NOT a good quality for a Moderator.

 

Having been both a Mod & Admin at various other sites, about the only secrets that they have is in "The Staff Lounge", or what ever it is called here. Where they can talk about us behind our backs, share idea's on what to do about certain posters and maybe even have fore knowledge about the site's direction/updates from The Admins.

Oh yeah & they get to enjoy 'Free Pizza Thursday' too.

 

But of course it is perfectly acceptable for a mod to do this, even though it undermines the integrity of the position far more than a raving lunatic could.

This what is damaging to the credibility of the mods, not what deidre or DL have posted, but this gem.

Which by the way is in absolute keeping with the character we have come to know and love as Shake. And his apology is mooted by his wonderful comment about getting toothpaste back into the tube.

You say it was jest, yet when you look at the character that Shake has developed over the years, a comment like that fits it like a glove.

Shake is not, in my opinion, a good choice for moderator this opinion has been voiced by many other members since it's announcement. Most felt like it would be appropriate to hold judgment for a while to see what shakes out (pun intended). He jumped into the shit from the gitgo.

If you or KN or Sully had made that comment while assuming a position of power over the members, it would be more likely be attributed to a joke. With Shake it is more like a Freudian slip, it fits his persona so perfectly. With the review of DD's status, I really wonder if nophest would have seen a different slant on her bitching or if he would have taken Shake out behind the woodshed.

Okay he put up a post he should not have, but and this is a big but, has he committed any acts resembling what you accuse him of being able to? Has he broken any of the forum rules? Has he really gone overboard in his insults of anyone, you and DL included?
I think if you check the answer will be no to all those little questions; so why not lay off the guy, pick up your hunting rifle when he fucks up and not before.

ShakeZula should be banned because he is a malevolent presence with a repulsive personality. Yes, I know, that is not an obvious violation of the Rules. Criticizing the mods is not either, but deidre79 was banned for that.

 

Then you should have been a true friend to Deidre79 and got her/him/it to stop making the false charges of discrimination against the mods, instead of enabling and reinforcing her/his/its destructiveness so you could continue to hide behind Deidre79 to do your dirty work for you.
