I was waiting for 69magpie to say that. Quite a few posters encouraged deidre79 to stand her ground. If I had any control over her I would have told her to back off, and turn on the charm, but I did not. I do think she was railroaded out of here. I disapprove. So do many others.

Deidre79 was banned for making repeated false charges of discrimination against her/him/it on the part of the mods.

Nophest was very clear about that.

No one has ever been banned on this forum for criticizing the moderators. Not one, including Deidre79.

I think you're just trying to hide your own guilty conscience because you know you were instrumental in getting your friend banned.

You are right about that Distant Lover. There were more than just you prodding and encouraging Deidre79 so you could hide behind her/him/it and get her/him/it to do your dirty work for you.

You could always stir Deidre79 up enough to start attacking people and then you could hide behind Deidre79 launching your own personal grudge match attacks while pretending to stand up for Deidre79.

And you even got told to stop doing that Distant Lover by some of Deidre79 other friends but you and tenguy just kept it up just like you're doing right now.

A real friend would have tried to get Deidre79 to settle down and at least stop making false charges of discrimination against the moderators. But oh now you had to just keep using Deidre79 to death so to speak and are now trying to still use Deidre79's corpse to hide behind.

That's really sick.

There is also talk of deirde apologising, again that was not an option, when the Nophest clearly stated that someone was getting banned, it was an either or situation.

If you want her back start a petition and lobby Nophest, you never know who will sign up for you, even some of her "enemies".

 

Not this one. Now that it's a done deal, I'm kind of enjoying the cool of the evening.

But my guess is that she'll be back anyway, under some other guise, whether I like it or not. I used to think I'd know her by her bad grammar and fractured syntax, but did you notice her writing got a lot better as she neared her date with destiny?

 

Maybe she will be back, but I don't think she will be able to hide who she is for long. Her stance on anything was extreme, from religion to politics hitting sex in the middle, man I think she could be destructive in bed.:excited:

First of all there is nothing more worthless than a Deidre79 apology. That was just a part of the same pattern that was repeated over and over and over again where Deidre79 would go on the rampage, her/his/its friends would jump to her/his/its defense. The fight would rage for days, spill over into multiple threads, reach a crescendo, and then Deidre79 would apologize to everyone. Then she'd/he'd/it'd be good for a couple weeks or so and then the rampage would start again and follow the exact same pattern.

But on your other point I think you may be right. Once I got to thinking about it someone who uses as few words as Nophest does is probably not going to use he does not mean and the his OP was the done deal.

I noticed that too and also saw some posts where I thought Deidre79 was actually trying to make valid points instead of simply personally attacking. Deidre79's behavior did change but the rampage patterns didn't.

And I think maybe even that pattern could have been improved if Deidre79 had real friends instead of enablers hiding behind her/him/it and spurring her/him/it on.

 

They don't delete accounts. You simply log off and leave, and if you choose to do so, do not return.

You might also want to pray that Shakezula does not ever lose his position as a moderator since he has stated he will reveal information from members accounts, i.e. e-mail addresses and IP addresses.

But your account cannot be deleted. It will remain active forever.

 

You should hope he does...that would result in his own banishment.

While I hate to interrupt the quibbling with a happy thought...
Several days ago I had the need to contact a mod for assistance, and ejls responded literally within minutes to say she was looking into the situation for me. A very short time later, she notified me that she had resolved the matter.
I'm sure she had better things to do, and I truly appreciate her professionalism and assistance!
Being a mod can be a thankless task, so please know that your work is appreciated!

 

I removed about 70 spam threads last night and banned 4 or 5 spammers. No one said anything. That's okay, though, they don't have to. I knew the terms when I took the job. :excited:
