I have not read The Cain Mutiny or seen the movie. When stumbler accuses either of us of resembling Lt. Keefer, he says that we somehow act behind the scenes, and incite others to act for us.

It should be obvious to most posters that both of us are capable of acting on our own.

I absolutely love it when Jack throws out that monologue, riveting stuff some of his best acting. And hey I was just trying to bring a smile to peoples faces.

See, right there is where i have a problem on two counts: he takes the side of one poster against another poster; the posters are talking about him so it seems like he's ganging up on one side of the argument, which as a Mod i dont think he should be doing.

Look jayjaydee I think it is plainly obvious that its been ShakeZula that is getting ganged up on, not the other way around.

And mods participating in discussions, even arguments and fights, is nothing new around here. Mods don't and never have given up their right to participate in the forum. That is not something that started with ShakeZula's selection as a moderator.

He isnt the leader of a religion. Or a political party. Or an icon to millions of teenagers. Or a policeman. Or the leader of a country. Or a TV celebrity.

He isnt placed on a gold pedestal. He doesnt have a shrine. Or a collection plate. Or a grotto in the North Pole.

He's just a guy that can move threads about.
"Mod" isnt some sort of magical initials.
He isnt "Doc" or "Proff" or "Rev"
He's just "mod"

If you cant understand the difference between "Mod" and "mod" then I worry for you.

If the guy having an iota more responsibility to you has such a high status to you, then I say that you have a VERY submissive nature and wilt like a flower in the desert heat infront of anyone with a mite more authority than you.

 

He has just taken it to a whole new level. From his first few posts as a mod, to his back pedaling, to his new sig, he has blazed new trails as a moderator.

There is no doubt that he will be tough on spam, tough on trolls and tough on age inappropriate postings. Kind of reminds me of Chief Frank Rizzo and his "Rizzo's Raiders", in Philly, during the 60's & 70's.

This is just a blatant lie - I've been there myself, it's very cool (about 5c) - and he's modeled it after Hef's place, only his snow bunnies look better with all that steam coming off their bodies. Yum!
