Nelson Mandela. Because after twenty seven years in prison he emerges and confronts his persecutors from a position of power and offers them the hand of peace and reconciliation instead of revenge and hatred. I would love to talk with the man and find out how he became such a person.

Stephen Fry. Because he is so witty and erudite, I think he could answer all of my questions and the conversation between him and Madiba would be fascinating.

Adolf Hitler. I would like to ask him why, and on what evidence he committed or had committed so many atrocities. The answer would again be fascinating. Also there is the possibility to hang him after the cheese plate and port had been served.:excited:

Jack The Ripper: Because he was never found but he is most assuredly now dead. I would enjoy pulling back the veil as it were. And if my suspicions are correct, he would be a highly intelligent fellow alongside his sickness.

Socrates: A true and timeless genius, they said his eyes often rolled back and he heard voices which instructed him as he instructed others, I would like to roll my own eyes and allow our voices to have a discussion of their own.

Don Rickles: Because every dinner needs comic relief.

Jesus would probably need some intoxicants to get in the mood maybe? If I could meet one person in this world honestly it would be my grandma that I never did because she drank herself silly and never saw the abuse until it was too late. I'd like a dinner party where we could all have a bit of witty conversation, and a bit of intellectual chat too. So Stephen Fry would be on my list too, along with Ian Hislop & Paul Merton, or maybe Dara O'Briain, Frankie Boyle & Andy Parsons/Russell Howard/Jo Brand or Lucy Porter.
Failing that, Clarkson, Hamster & May - they'd be great fun, especially if you could get them reminicing about that trips to Vietnam etc.

Could we have Bill Bailey set his keyboard and guitar up in the corner of the room for some after-dinner entertainment, and can I have Si & Dave, the two Hairy Bikers, to help me cook the meal.
