In one of the threads dedicated to deidre79 I wrote, "deidre79 is a powerful personality here. She is beautiful, but her opinions are sometimes ugly." That has always been my evaluation of her. I often disagreed with her political statements, and said so here in the General Discussion section. However, I expressed those disagreements with a respect that is too often absent here. When I agreed with her, I of course said so too.

Because I am quite a bit older than deidre79 I have had more time to learn from my mistakes. Perhaps I have acquired more social understanding. Nevertheless, when I joined my first internet forum three years ago. I submitted comments similar to letters to the editor I have written for years. When I was flamed it felt that the entire forum was against me.

That is the way it often did feel here to deidre79. When she said the moderators were biased against her, I believe that she was expressing what she believed to be true. I also believe that several posters here enjoyed baiting her.

Speaking only for myself, I have been treated fairly by nophest, chunky, and piggit. My objections to their behavior are recent, and should be obvious, so I will not repeat them.

It is also obvious that I care about deidre79. I will miss her.

 

Well thank-you for that, I know I can be stubborn in my point of view especially with deidre, but I never threatened her life or made outrageous claims about her personal life, apart from stating she might have mental health issues. Others don't see it that way though and jump straight in to defend her even when she is in the wrong.

 

i think stubborness is a prerequisite for being on this site.

 

The hell he wasn't, the post that you quote was made well after his appointment was announced, he and I engaged in conversations about his new role long before the shitstorm started in here.

May I have this opportunity to make one final post in my defense while so many of you continue to condemn me praising yourself proclaiming your innocence. Why are certain members reposting my less than polite responses while ignoring their own hateful posts telling me off, making fun of me, and acting in a way I guess is fully accepted here. If I have offended any of you which I have regretfully I sincerely apologize.+ My purpose here has never been to argue, fight or make fun of anyone of you. I simply found this site to be a place where I could have fun and make new friends. I know it's over for me here, I take full blame and any reputation I had is gone. It appears that Stumbler was attempting to give deidre and DL some good advice, they both chose to ignore it, maybe if she hadn't she wouldn't be facing a ban.

I just was looking back to see where DD and I got into shit, and frankly it seems like my advice that her one "sincere" post would not be enough to change anyone's opinion of her. Yeah, I said that her posting style was reminiscent of a child or a psychopath more often than not, but I was polite about it. I was simply telling her in a friendly way that it takes a lot of work to overcome a well established public perception.
