I've kept out of the bickering back and to. I don't really want to get dragged into arguments that have less hope of being resolved than the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and the personal opinions of others that will never change. But I will say this:

As a supporter of free speech, in all its forms, be it badmouthing or complimenting, spreading truths/half truths or out and out lies; once you start taking into account how others may perceive that truth or lie and silencing those who mouth the words, you start the laying down of rules of what is and is not allowed to be voiced. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the start of a steep and slippery slope.

I've read through most of the explosive threads over the past week or so; I'd love to say they've been entertaining, but all I could see was circular arguments, rippling outward to spill into many threads.

Perhaps it's too late now, and Nophest's mind is made up; maybe he can't be talked around into rescinding his ultimatum. But I hope he can.

My question is where in the fuck they have the right to attack the stated gender of another member? If you ever went to the pic forum, you would know that everybody that tries to pass shit off gets busted by the shrewd eye or elephant memory. You verified yourself long ago and have cemented the fact you are a "dick" just fine over the last few days...well, actually every time you post your slanted opinion. Remain unverified as to your gender and keep questioning the gender of others. Just like when you tell me about getting a woman when I already have one, who is also verified on site. Difference between mine and yours is mine doesn't buy my cigarettes and pot.

No, I mean obviously none of the pictures anywhere on the internet in albums or otherwise prove anything. They could all be copied from somewhere else. We've seen that from time to time around here you know.

So yes I suppose I also get to know people on the internet and am convinced they are who they say they are. But that's just a matter of personal trust. Pictures verify nothing actually.
