I don't think so. The only really fair thing to do would be to cut off all aid and support to both the Palestinians and Israel until they reach a meaningful peace agreement or one kills all the others, which ever comes first.

Where's your source for this? I'd be really surprised if you can find one since first we're talking about Palestinians still living in Israel and second the Palestinians are secular.

First it clearly disproves your statement that Arabs have equality in Israel specifically stating: "because in certain areas Jews and Arabs are not equal" and more importantly and obviously there can never be such equality in Israel because Israel tries to be both a democracy and a Jewish state: "emanating from the fact that Israel is a Jewish state and there is no such thing as an Israeli nationality that is all inclusive."

In other words equality for Arabs is actually impossible in Israel if for no other reason then they are not Jewish.

I think this is pure and simple prejudice in action. As soon as your statement of Arab equality in Israel is proven wrong you suddenly just resort to anti-Palestinian stereotypes.

It doesn't matter WhaWhaWha. None of that is really the point. The point is no one can go around rightfully claiming that Israel has given equal rights to Arabs living in Israel.

As many members know I've always maintained that dispite all prouncements to the contrary the nation of Israel has no intention of negoatiting in good faith with the Palestinians and will derail any efforts for a peaceful settlement before it can even get started.

As proof of that I present the latest pronouncement from the nation of Israel that they will not share the city of Jerusalem. That's rich because while Israel tries to claim Jerusalem is their capitol city the rest of the world including the US says they have no legal right to Jerusalem and their capitol is still Tel Avi.

Its high time the US just cut Israel off and found better things to do with our billions and billions of dollars in foreign aid and military support.

Hi stumbler. I know you're probably not going to be happy, with me posting in your thread, but I'm going to anyway.

I'm 'involved' with a human rights group and today, I listened to a presentation by a female who goes regularly to Palestine to do volunteer work.

Part of this work, she said, is to accompany the Palestinians as they 'walk their land' - the land that their families have farmed for generations, which is now being stolen by the Israeli settlers. The volunteers also accompany those involved in regular (weekly) peaceful demonstrations, as even the Israeli army is hesitant to open fire on a group which has foreign nationals in its midst.

The talk was really informative, given by someone with firsthand knowledge of the encroaching Israeli wall and the diminishing Palestinian lands. I would heartily recommend attending a talk by someone, if you're ever lucky enough
