Have you ever shared a bed with the opposite sex without having sex?

I have slept with a male friend before..and no he wasnt gay and no sex happened. But I have a friend and she says its impossible, either she will come on to him or the guy will come on to her guaranteed.

 

Yeah I have and I really had to wonder if there was something wrong with me. I wondered why she wouldn't touch me.

For the most part, I believe you friend is right, but I have slept in the same bed with with a ex and we didn't have sex. I guess the feeling just weren't there any longer...I dunno!

A year ago I went on a trip with my best friend with her boyfriend, and one of his best friends to see some of her family that lived a few states away. I knew the other guy a little but we had never spent much time talking with each other before this trip. We spent the night in some cheap motel room with double beds. After seeing the room and being informed that I would be sharing a bed with this guy I started getting excited thinking that we would have sex.

Once we all went to bed I could see that my friend and her boyfriend were going at it and you could also hear them moan. Watching and hearing all of this was really getting me hot and I was sure the guy I was in bed with could see them and make a move on me.
He never tried anything. I waited for while and then I decided I would make the first move. I moved closer to him and whispered something about the other couple fucking. He just whispered back and acknowledged that he knew what was going on also and rolled over with his back towards me. I just laid there watching my friend get fucked and thought that there must be something about me that this guy didn't like.
The next day I said something to my friend and she asked the guy why he didn't try to fuck me. He told her that he didn't think I was interested in him so he didn't try. The rest of the trip we stayed at my friends relatives house and never got a chance to make up for the missed oppurtunity.

The guy was totally into me and I found out he had told his friends that he would totally do me that night. I was so mad because I hate being a forgone conclusion. But I figured since I wasn't that into him, I could afford to piss him off and make him suffer in the process. We went out as planned and had a pretty decent time. He came over to my place and I agreed that he could sleep in my bed so long as he kept his hands to himself. :excited: He thought I was joking but come morning he was so disappointed. Fucker deserved it!

 

I've had to sleep in the same bed as a guy. Very goodlooking too. But, I am not single-- sO, I kept my distance. And woke up and I was freeezing cold, snuggled up to him haha-- No sex, no nothing.. I told my BF, and he didn't really mind- honesty goes a long way.
Now, If I WASN'T dating someone.. things probably would have gone the other way hehe.

I once had a boyfriend who didn't want sex but just to sleep next to me. Most he ever did was touch but never sex. He just liked the comfort I guess.

 

It is possible, but it takes a lot of trust for it to work successfully. Is it sex? no, but it is a very intimate act.

 

This is actually a more complicated question than it appears.

If I recall correctly, I have slept with four women without having sex. One of them, I slept with TWICE without having sex.

But the bottom line is, the three out of four that I slept with MORE THAN ONCE, I ended up having sex with...and two of them were the ones that initiated it.

What do I think this means?

Well, taking into consideration that there are circumstances that might require sleeping with someone of the opposite sex in an emergency situation, you are not going to sleep with someone if there is not already some level of intimacy between you. Sleeping together just INCREASES that intimacy, and, unless one or both of you have incredibly low sex drives, if you sleep together on more than one occasion, the likelihood of having sex increases significantly.

One story:


One of my girlfriends had a male friend that she knew long before we had met. He lived in 'the city' about 50 miles away and she said that occasionally if she was out late there, she would crash at his apartment and sleep with him. Just long-time friends, never any sex.

Well, she must have done this three or four times while we were together and told me when she did it. Then, one morning we are in bed together and she says she had something to tell me. The last time she had crashed at his place (she had had too much to drink and did not want to drive all the way home), she woke up in the middle of the night and he had her t-shirt up and was licking her tits and his hand in her panties starting to finger her. She said she asked him to stop at first (she was still pretty drunk), but he was giving her the old 'oh, come on....you want this' line and finally, she belted him, got out of bed grabbed her clothes and went down to the parking lot and slept in her car. He followed her and tried to get her to come back, but she told him forget it.

She had a hard time convincing me not to go and kick his fucking ass.

Moral?

As I said in my last post....you sleep with someone of the opposite sex platonically, but do it more than once, SOMEONE is going to crack.

 

I have don the many times. Its not a problem. Respect is the key
